Then again, that's just my opinion.

What WC really give was the feeling that your actions actually made a significant plot difference. I don't recall ANY non-RPG game that gave your actual performance that much importance...

Well...it depends on what you're looking for. I loved the original SW universe and the plots of games X-Wing vs TIE Fighter and B-Wing were great for people like me. They tied into the films while still being strong on their own.

I also thought the combat was more fun than WC. Not necessarily more realistic, but more fun. It also helped that when that XvT came out there was a huge community of players online and even some who used the game as a platform for rp. I loved that aspect.

Brilliant. I liked the direction in which gaming seemed to be heading when this came out - but then they decided that CG characters were better than real actors and that the online market was more important than creating an immersive singleplayer experience hmph.

Such a great game! i think the pinnicle of gaming was in the 90's where monkey island, Wing commander, Doom and duke nukem roamed the plains of fun only to have it shat on by all the unoriginal games that came after. :( P.S CoD4's multiplayer is so broken i think the only reason people would consider it as the best game EV3R is if they all suffer from stupid virus.

Its a DOS game not windows. It should run in XP (I havent tried but it should) set compatability to win95 or 98.

OR 2 others, GET the windows ported ver from the KS pack or get a copy of Dosbox and run it in that.
