lets hope that Islamic extremists dont take the power in Syria, remember the Iranian revolution 1979 there was great excitement about a change sweeping the Mideast. but democracy left Iran, try not to end up like them, being murdered and tortured and imprisoned even more than under the previous regime, they trusted extreme Islamists who pretended to be their allies while it was convenient, and didn't see the turnaround coming until it was far too late.
hmadinejad's comment loosely translates to English as:
This Speudo Guardian of the jurisprudence on 19 August 1978,participated in the arson of the cinema Rex, at Abadan, or have died charred more than 400 people.Death to the dictator and the keeper of the revolution of the country or the penalties of death are the most numerous.warlord who killed the most beautiful women of the world by frustration sexuelleleurs flag represents the camera female genital and reveals their hypocrisy to Allah
@kenh92 I got a reference from Google in Wikipedia about this incident: On August 19, 1978, in the Cinema Rex fire, the Cinema Rex in Abadan, Iran, was set ablaze, killing over 400 individuals. I am not clear about the rest of the comment. Could someone explain the rest?

@MrMagbarr It means death to something, usually it is used against things that cause harm. So I wrote: Death to the arabic religion, death to the Iranian regime. I hope this helps. My page should give a little more insight.
@jahlove111 Thanks for commenting. I left the comment by Yasoo3Ba3boos up on this site to let other see it. This person claims to be Palestinian, lost his brother to the Basiji in Iran and is 12 yrs old. Why he opined about Ms. Soltan in this manner is curious.
@jahlove111 Yasoo3Ba3Boos comments were directed at both me and blackcat1350. I am not sure what the message is here but he sure is angry. What made him think that Ms. Soltan was the type he asserts is beyond me. I have never heard anything to support that view. I would think that he would be angrier at those who killed his brother and sister than about a video that illustrates the kind of violence imposed on the demonstrators.
@Yasoo3Ba3boos Do what you feel is right for you. I guess by bloody films you mean pictures of the injuries that people received from people with night-sticks etc. You should know that these were pictures taken by news organizations and private citizens. They we shown all over the world in various media. Whether or not Nada was the kind of person you claim, (and I make no judgment here) the fact is that her death had a resonance with many other people around the world. Peace to you.
All people of Islamic faith should know that this so called "Pastor" threatening to burn the Quaran is not representative of the American people. As to the matter of the Mosque in Manhattan, near ground zero - it is sensitive. Just as followers of Islam should not associate the "Pastor" with all Americans, Americans should not associate the killers who crashed the planes into the Word Trade Center as representative of all those of the Islamic faith.
I watched the documentary over and over and over. I learned so much because of Neda's murder. I stand for all human rights. She was that way. My heart is still breaking for the loss of this beautiful person who died trying to live free. A world apart but so much alike in our beliefs. I wish world peace for all countries. I love people of all races. It was very important to teach my only son to love all people, guarding him from believing the prejudices of others. Even as one I will luv
So I have to bring this on the table: for me, the protests of last year were not against the "fraud election" (excuse my english), they were protests against the whole system, indeed mr moussavi is nothing of an opponant, he claimed his loyalty to the regime on many occasions, and is still today a "life-time" member of the sadly named "discernment council"... please people of the west, don't be fooled, it s so easy for this regime to provide you with fake "democratic opponants"...
@basildog007 - I don't think most people (at least in the USA) are not fooled by the current Iranian government. Everyone knows what they are all about and can see through this sham. Your comments are good in that some may put blinders on and see only one aspect and not the "bigger picture". The Iranian people are struggling for a new and different type of government. Those people are the children of the "revolution" who are rising up against the government it created!

Primeau12 - Neda's death transcends political alliances and such. Her death is a tragic reminder of the price to achieve social justice. Iran may, ironically, become the symbolic epicenter in the struggle for social justice around the world - The internet now revealing, in a dramatic way, the hideous acts of oppression inflicted upon innocent peoples by regimes which distort religion to serve their nefarious aims.
You dont need the Americans You dont need the Britts or the french or any other super country what you need is Irans allies like Russia and you need Canada to step in.. Sometimes incredible beauty combines a higher purpose. There are no coincidences. it is ironic that the name "Neda" loosely translated from Farsi means "called" or "one who is called" I wish I could say more about her but I know so little about who this person really was in life.
Regardless, her death is symbolic of a multi-level struggle for justice that has captured my heart and that of millions of others.
IR655 was flying from Bandar Abbas, Iran, to Dubai, UAE, when it was destroyed by the U.S. Navy's guided missile cruiser USS Vincennes, killing all 290 passengers and crew aboard, including 66 children, ranking it the seventh among the deadliest airliner fatalities. It was the highest death toll of any aviation incident in the Indian Ocean and the highest death toll of any incident involving an Airbus A300 anywhere in the world.
Yes, a tragic and mistaken incident indeed. However, should I remove your comment because it is propaganda? No.
Here we have freedom of speech. I have serious doubts as to your life expectancy if you were to paint a picture of the current Iranian government in the light that you characterized America and were in Tehran.
@delacy2005 Thanks Delcy2005 - I was never sure what it meant. Is this universally accepted? or is it the translation in a particular language. Hope you got something out of this video. The music still gives me goose bumps. Brian's work and Azam's voice is awesome with these still pictures.
A nation of people must stand together with some kind of common believe and that could very simply be "the believe in love and respect for our fellow brothers and sisters", if every individual would simply follow the "Golden Rule" we wouldn't have any serious problems getting along and the world would be a much better place. Do unto others as wish done unto you - The "GOLDEN RULE" is my religion and you simply can't go wrong. Wishing everyone peace and happiness. Good video!!!!
I often wonder how many Americans would be willing to face the dangers of arrest, beatings, and death these brave people have endured. There are so many lessons for us in what is happening in Iran. The biggest one I believe is the separation of Church and State. For when politics and religion ride in the same cart it portends violence and suffering.
US const says Gov't may not make any law 'establishing a religion' (no State religion), but all early documents mentioned & honored God. Congress & Supreme Court begin w prayers. The issue is not to insist on one religion or set of ideas. It is good for a nation to Honor God. Brings good luck & protection America is the proof. Now as we move away everything gets worse, that is proof of a Nation w/out God-almost gone, better turn back. Iranians yelling "God is great" from roofs, that is powerful.
It is the freedom of religious expression that is essential. No government should ever have power to suppress it.
However, religion must never become government. Because by definition anything that is against that religious belief becomes a crime - and thereby punishable.
May the people of all faiths: Christian, Islam, Buddhists, Jewish, Hindu, Seikh, and so many others join hands in shouting from the roof top that God is great!

I feel sorry for an innocent girl like Neda, who had to be a victim of a movement that was led by an incompetent leader like Mousavi. May she rest in peace!
Freedom is the issue, not any leader. People should not have to live in fear, be afraid to speak, be afraid to make a move, afraid to breath or think wrong. No man has the right to be over another in that way - even if he wears a 'religious' hat. These tyrants R from Hell. They use words like 'holy' & 'Divine', but they are from Hell and they do the Devil's work. All people have a Divine right to fight for their freedom. Never give up . Freedom is worth dying for. That's what we know in America.
Freedom doesn't come at a cheap price! I can't agree more. But freedom doesn't come without proper leadership either. Something the recent movement of the Iranians lacked, which explains why it didn't last that long.
I know my friend, but it isn't over in Iran. From what I have seen the phony Mullahs are toast - just a matter of time. Those brave people will never give up. May God help them to find a way to real freedom.
I do not judge the Mullahs of Iran or the people inflicting brutality on their fellow citizens. But I CAN JUDGE their ACTIONS -- which are terribly wrong.
Like you, I grieve for Neda, her family, and all the people in Iran (and elsewhere) who have suffered under the hypocrisy of "righteousness" cloaking abusive power however it has been made manifest.
Our liberties in the USA are under attack too. Neda's death has great meaning to everyone.
