Transformers had a transformer Character *jetfire* and that transformer model got into another series as you anime lovers like me know that the other show was called ROBOTECH ^^ and just from the one transformer model. it made the anime cut.

Thats correct, the video is just labeled Transformers for the every day non robot-transforming-into-vehicle aficionados who might not know what Macross is, but are still in need of seven seconds of transforming robot action. I'd hate them to miss out :)

The toy of "Skyfire" was modelled off of the old Macross/Robotech series toys. This is probably one of the many models you can pull from there.
