You know white out is cheaper, and easier to do on like an old hoodie that is shredded. I painted my jacket with white out and paint markers, and its held pretty well.

I'm not too into logos either, i cut out a bunch of fabric rectangles to make patches but since i like SO much music, itd be nuts to wear EVERY musician i listen to, plkus favorite artists, etc etc. I'm probably gonna do just a few bands and then other stuff like artists, books, authors, IDEAS....quotes. that kind of thing.

I've seen people use such paper for shirts (that end up lasting for a REALLY long time), but have yet to see anybody try it for patches. i used a sharpie on a pair of jeans that i like. So far, with just...maybe 10 washes...Its still there, faded, but there...I will however go to Walmart*trademarkendorsedhaha* and get some of those fabric markers. I have way too many scrap bits of fabric on me, and i just ruined a pair of pants, so i'll just use that lD

might you have any tips at putting studs into thick cowhide leather? I've had this wicked leather jacket sitting around for a while and all I've managed to do is put a few band pins in it that i've gotten from shows(forgotten rebels, the creepshow, orphan grinder, the vibrators), and i can't seem to decide where or how to put some studs in(currently looking for screw-in spikes and british cone studs)

You'll wanna punch holes in the leather where you want the prongs for the studs to go...depending on the leather, you might have to get creative with what you use to punch the holes in it. Then you put in the stud an bend the prongs over with like pliers or a flat screwdriver.

I figure that if I really need to I can take a dremel to one of the many screwdrivers i have laying around here to sharpen it a bit and then hit it with a hammer to punch a slit in the leather, but I'd rather not ruin a perfectly good jacket doing so.

i used cardboard once,it didnt go well,you have to be dead on with a xacto knife,or your cut it,i use freezer paper and a xacto blade,its dead on the fabric and you dont have to worry about moving it and getting paint on the fabric thats not need.
