She most likely dances a lot and maybe she feels like she is fat although she isn't. @LovesAmericanEagle It is perfectly fine. A dancer wouldn't be as good as this if they didn't keep a healthy diet. She is skinny because of the amount of years of training she has had. I am a dancer too and I am also skinny, it's also in my genes. If she had an eating disorder or was not naturally skinny like this, then it wouldn't be healthy and she wouldn't even have the muscle or energy to dance as good as this.

It means they don't have a lot of fat surrounding them. Which is a good, HEALTHY thing. Ever since I was a little kid, you could count my ribs. And I am stonger and healthier than anyone in my family.

It is quite sad that some people can watch this and feel the need to make rude comments about the dancers weight and costume. It is completely approaprite for the style of dance and competition she is at... and i think some people should have a bit more respect for Haydens mom and not just assume she is irrresponsible for let her daughter do what she does best :)

Haha I was definitely in the audience when she performed this, and I was at that competition. BTW, that's what girls wear at dance now - my friends mom made that particular one.
@bonezillion dancers do that because usually it's how that dance was choreographed. It's meant to be sassy and it looks better then just dancing with an expressionless face.
@bsyellow it's a standard dance competition costume. Almost every costume at a dance competition consists of pants like that and a sports bra. Its so the dancer isn't constricted while dancing and so the judges can see their body alinement. It's normal for any dancer to wear that.
She is a great dancer and a great athlete and she is in great physical condition and she is trying to be sexy, so guess what? This is a sexy video. Surprised?
Hayden is just amazing. Amazing flexibility, control, showmanship, and especially in this dance her use of the whole stage. What's not to love about her?
Nice technique and style! I have noticed that A LOT of teachers are teaching their students to be robots, amazing technique but no style and they just have a smile stuck on their face. I LOVE that she has great technique but also has great style and looks like she is performing and enjoying what she's doing!
I appreciate dancing, but I have to agree with costume issues not being right. Time and place should be coupled with age group? Most people arent pervs, but what about those that are? Shouldnt she be wearing some clothes? my goodness she's so young........
@Headstrong761 There shouldn't be an issue as to whether the costume is too revealing, it should be whether the costume fits the dance, and it does, that's all that matters. Kids wear 2 piece swimsuits so why can't they wear 2 piece dance outfits, and you have more chance of having a pervert at a swimming pool than at a dance competition.

Appreciate the dancing that is happening, the talent that is on the stage. In all of these videos I have noticed all people do is comment on the costumes... Stop focusing on the costumes, and start appreciating the talent in these children. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and skill to do what these children do.
She's a GREAT dancer, and I agree that judges need to se body movement, but they can just as easily do that in a shirt that at least covers her stomach. No complaints on the booty shorts - it's a dance thing. But the top should at least be a few inches longer. And yes, I am a dancer.

@JYLJZ Don't be surprised. My dance teacher is reserved when it comes to costume and clothing. There's nothing wrong with what she's wearing, I just think it would make a lot people who aren't involved in the dance world a bit more comfortable if she covered up. Don't get me wrong, she looks great in that, I just know there are lots of people who would be uncomfortable with the clothing or think it wasn't a good choice of costume.

Their costumes are to show off more moves, it's not meant to be inappropriate in any way. It's only 'wrong' because certain people have those thoughts. These girls are raised to see this as DANCE attire, not prostitute attire. They're innocent little girls so stop calling them sluts! They've probably never even heard the word, let alone what it means.

Young dancers are raised with those type and clothes and movements, to get them ready for more mature dancing when their older. So its perfectly fine with 5 year olds shaking their but, they dont know that it is looked down appon. So you say your a dancer, well get it together and put your self in their place. TheSynchronizedVideo it's a perfectly fine costume- a crop top and shorts. It's normal. And it's perfectly balanced choreography- half turns leaps and kicks( because solos are given to show off more skill and Haydns amazing at them so she should do them right?) and half of the time she's walking around the stage doing choreo with her hands. If you like choreo more than actual dancing perhaps you should watch 3 year olds dance where basically all they do is choreography.

@bsyellow it's a standard dance competition costume. Almost every costume at a dance competition consists of pants like that and a sports bra. Its so the dancer isn't constricted while dancing and so the judges can see their body alinement. It's normal for any dancer to wear that.

Nice technique and style! I have noticed that A LOT of teachers are teaching their students to be robots, amazing technique but no style and they just have a smile stuck on their face. I LOVE that she has great technique but also has great style and looks like she is performing and enjoying what she's doing!

I appreciate dancing, but I have to agree with costume issues not being right. Time and place should be coupled with age group? Most people arent pervs, but what about those that are? Shouldnt she be wearing some clothes? my goodness she's so young........

@Headstrong761 There shouldn't be an issue as to whether the costume is too revealing, it should be whether the costume fits the dance, and it does, that's all that matters. Kids wear 2 piece swimsuits so why can't they wear 2 piece dance outfits, and you have more chance of having a pervert at a swimming pool than at a dance competition.

I'm sorry your halloween day got shut down but it's halloween, people can dress up however they like, but that's also in a public setting where anyone can go. Either your open-minded to dance or not if the answer is no just don't watch the video, it's as easy as that

do u guys understand that if she had on long pants or something her hip joints would be very restricted and she would not be able to do most of those moves? ive seen little dancers yound as seven years old with things like this on the only difference is that they MIGHT were knee high socks for a little more age appropriate coverage its really not that bad people i have seen costumes with more coverage than this but they look slutty this one does not

Appreciate the dancing that is happening, the talent that is on the stage. In all of these videos I have noticed all people do is comment on the costumes... Stop focusing on the costumes, and start appreciating the talent in these children. It takes a lot of hard work, dedication, and skill to do what these children do.

She's a GREAT dancer, and I agree that judges need to se body movement, but they can just as easily do that in a shirt that at least covers her stomach. No complaints on the booty shorts - it's a dance thing. But the top should at least be a few inches longer. And yes, I am a dancer.

@JYLJZ Don't be surprised. My dance teacher is reserved when it comes to costume and clothing. There's nothing wrong with what she's wearing, I just think it would make a lot people who aren't involved in the dance world a bit more comfortable if she covered up. Don't get me wrong, she looks great in that, I just know there are lots of people who would be uncomfortable with the clothing or think it wasn't a good choice of costume.

Their costumes are to show off more moves, it's not meant to be inappropriate in any way. It's only 'wrong' because certain people have those thoughts. These girls are raised to see this as DANCE attire, not prostitute attire. They're innocent little girls so stop calling them sluts! They've probably never even heard the word, let alone what it means.

Young dancers are raised with those type and clothes and movements, to get them ready for more mature dancing when their older. So its perfectly fine with 5 year olds shaking their but, they dont know that it is looked down appon. So you say your a dancer, well get it together and put your self in their place. TheSynchronizedVideo it's a perfectly fine costume- a crop top and shorts. It's normal. And it's perfectly balanced choreography- half turns leaps and kicks( because solos are given to show off more skill and Haydns amazing at them so she should do them right?) and half of the time she's walking around the stage doing choreo with her hands. If you like choreo more than actual dancing perhaps you should watch 3 year olds dance where basically all they do is choreography.

I've been to MANY dance competitions in my life, I know what people wear and I know for a FACT it doesn't NEED to be barely anything/ skimpy attire.
