people say on vids that if it hurts to perform the death metal growls, you need to stop and reevaluate what you're doing. But, if you have a sore throat, thats fine. Does that mean it's okay if your throat hurts after performing the growls, but if it hurts DURING, then you've got a problem? Cuz, i do these, and it wont hurt, but after about 30 mins my throat hurts to the point where it DOES hurt to perform the vocals. Is that good, or bad? Any helps appreciated. TY!

what u want to do to start is to growl and sigh very deep at the same time

ive been singing (not only metal) for almost 8 years now and that is a very common but damaging mistake use ur diaphram (spelling is wrong i know its 3:30am) and breathe out

@Slight995 what u want to do is when u breathe make sure that u dont expand only ur shoulders that means that only the tops of your lounges are being used what u want is for your stomach to expand it will feel very weird at first but you do get used to it. it feels abit like you are pulling ur torso down as you breathe in i hope this helps
