I saw these guys open for Def Leopards Hysteria. My best friend and I knew one of the security guards so we were snuck in thru the back. We were 15 and 16. Hid behind a dumpster for 20 minutes waiting. I saw ALOT of bands in the 80's but this concert was THE BEST. TIME OF MY LIFE BABY!!!!!!

This is where the whole Grunge thing began if you ask me. Lots of guys were having to put up with the spandex glam metal and rock bands of the mid '80s and people wanted something different. Then along came Tesla in their t-shirts and jeans and playing just good old American rock music and it was like a breath of fresh air. I think this made us realize that the Warrants and Poisons had had their day. Along would come Alice and Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana with new music and attitude.
