yeah, i liked the bangles as a whole. it wasn't until later in my life i learned the media's tunnel vision focus on susanna hoffs. that's typical with most bands, however. this is one of my favorite 1980's female rock bands!
There is something so attractive about girls rocking out on instruments and singing ( not just posing and acting like they know how to play, but actually playing it and enjoying it!)
And the lead singer OMG... so HOT HOT HOT HOT HAWT! I use to watch this video when I was a teenager just to look at her do her sexy eye movement and her poses, and just ugh she was so hot. I wanted to jump on top of her and bite her lip. FREAKING HOT! and the song RULES!

yeh....and also some insane blast beats and insane screamed vocals with some insane guitar shredding and some insane harmonized guitar solo...that way it would SOUND LIKE EVERY FUCKING BAND OUT THERE!!!!!!!
The whole band were my dream women when I was a teen back in the 80's. All I can say is that if any of them ever called me, I'd probably pass out from the rush of massive hormones I stored away for over 20 years now because of their hotness. I'm sorry they ever got at odds with each other, if they were solid all these years, they'd re-define the industry several times over with their sound alone.
Everyone seems to focus in on Suzananah Hoffs. I always just liked the Bangles for what they were, a group. I love the cover, upping the tempo and adding the electric edge is a improvement on a song that was all ready good.
My only problem with this song is it's not long enough. Suzannah Hoffs made a great CD last year with Matthew Sweet called Under the Covers where they covered a bunch of songs from the late 60's early 70's. Check it out!
Don't forget James Spader as Rip, the drug dealer. These guys were all great in their respective roles and this my favourite film about teenage drug abuse. Ahhhhhhh, memories! : )
This song is from the sadly prophetic classic movie "Less than Zero". Robert Downey is a hopeless coke addict. Also stars Andrew McCarthy and I believe a very popular 80s actress..
The best performance of ROBERT DOWNEY JR!!!!..What a great movie and a great soundtrack!!!! What a years!!!! This is acting!!!

This isn't actually a Bangles song, it's a Simon and Garfunkel cover. I do love their version, though. Yay Bangles!

I agree, on their hits album 80% of the songs were sung by Susanna.
My favourite is Michael Steele.
