Lord Zed is by far the best villain of all time. As PR got older it just got a lot dumber- storyline and gimmick wise.

everybody knows master vile had to be the best he only been the series main villain for less than episodes and nearly suceeded in killing the power rangers then lord zedd rita and mongo. he never died nor did he turn good and he created the alignment of evil. if not the powerfulest but the smartest per say.

i'm not sure if it was made in japan with korean dub or made in korea but I remember the villains (army) were called "cobra"(?) or something like that. they had white hair and sorta looked creepy and they shout something to higher-up villain. and they summon giant monsters..that's basically all I remember. I watched it around late 90's (1997-1999? I'm not sure). if anyone knows what I'm talking about, I would like to know the name of this show lol

In all of their one-dimensionality, Power Rangers villains were great, but they had personality and presence. A lot better than when someone fails to create a compelling character because they wanted to make them "deep"

I would have to disagree look at lord zedd history, he was so scary giving little children nightmares, because of that the FCC and Disney really had to tone the show down.

Grumm wasn't that good of a bad guy. nor was the master, from mystic force, after watching its sentai part magi ranger.

The Master was a better villain before he got his humanoid form and became much more chatty. Once that happened he was like any other PR villian.

The best thing about Power Rangers has always been the cool villains. Not all of them are great, but a vast majority. Lord Zedd, Rita, King Mondo, Astronema, Goldar, and Elgar are my favourites.

The baddest is Trakeena (dude. *Foot soldiers used as suicide bombers.* *How* did they get away with it?) and watching her grow from whiny daddy's girl to competent villain to supremely dangerous... after "Journey's End," it was like, "Zedd who?" Also partial to Rita, Ransik, Astronema, Mesogog, and the ever-butt-kicking Koragg. I guess I always felt Zedd was overrated, even when he was new-ish.

Lord Zedd is the greatest villain in PR History. Hands down!!! He tops everyone else in scariness, evil persona, intelligence, witty comebacks and humor,scorcery and overall power. He was even the main villain in the Power Rangers: Super Legends game for PS2 celebrating 15 years of PR. They couldn't have chosen a better guy for the job. All hail Lord Zedd!!!!!

Of all the villains there have been Lord Zedd was the greatest of them all (although after Rita returning he got toned down sadly) he was also the first major villain to take on a ranger single handed and come out on top.

what i think is great about zedd is you could see the writers loved him too as he kept coming back and is a clear legend as he is still metioned in todays episodes also it was great to see him slightly in zeo fighting back at machine empire especially when they won :)

I still remember how shocked I was when Zedd & Rita actually blew up the Thunderzords... Was a complete and utter holy crap moment. You never actually saw the zords fall apart like that before or since, real creepy moment in the series
