  • you are such a talent! you would have to make it your profession!!!!!!

  • This track is really really awesome. That D-50-Pad is pure 80s, wonderful how you play those chords.. also the sax, of course. Wow!!!

    Best wishes

  • Didn´t know this video of you. Now I found a secret treasure! 10 Points.

  • isnt that bass track the one for bulletproof?

  • Hi there .... my comment is: this juno1 bass sounds exactly the same like some Juno 60 arpeggiator triggered from some 80`s trig rhythm machine ;) great

  • waoooo exellent jadore i like

  • I keep coming back to this video....I sometimes listen to it when im getting ready for work in the morning. How cool is that! :)

  • @DIGITALSCREAMS Hi! :) That's awesome! :)

Got to have 80s in the morning! hehehe

    Have a synthtastic day!

    :) TSF and the synths

  • Hi! :)

Got to love the 80s and the synths of the times. :)

I am far behind the times though, lol I don't have anything in midi since its all played live and with just a drum machine for the beat and the arp I sequenced into the drum machine. you can sequence a simple arp/bass line into the drum machine, send it over to your Juno or DX and add a few chords that follow the bass line and then add a synthy lead to it. :)

  • Omg so perfectly 80's! Classic late 80's type sound/composition going on there...

Have you got anything in MIDI you could flick over....would be fun to play around with :)

  • Damn the sax sounds perfect!! Anyway to get a sax like that on the juno?

  • @RivaniUC Sorry...no chance (I have an Alpha Juno 2). You definitely need a multisample-based synth engine for such a good sax sound.

  • @RivaniUC Hi :) Sorry for the delayed reply. lol The sax sound is actually the Roland JV-880 module from 1992. Its a rompler but it has a nice sax sound along with several others. Its a 4-op synth (subtractive) synth and its got some really great sounds in it along with user patches that can be programmed with lots of options. Its multi-timbral too.

Juno is better for strings, bass & lead sounds, Juno would need more than just the one osc to be able to make a convincing sax sound. :)

  • @TheSynthFreq absolutely great

I was born in 1969 and grew up with the 80's sound

you make me remember why I loved it so much

    Last year i got rid of all my 80's gear a 909 , d10 , SH101 and sequential pro 1

    I dont regret it

but you make me yearn for that sound again

    THANKYOU

  • Hey Danielle,

really good job, and also thx for your other videos. Liked them very much, very good information and beautiful music... by the way: I got my D-50 yesterday ;-)

    Best regards from Germany

    Mario

  • @1971Blacklight Hi :) Oh my goodness! I just saw your comment today, Congratulations!!

I am so excited for you! D-50 forever! :)

Let me know if I can help with any info on D-50. patch programming, things like that, I would be more than happy to help decode the mysteries of D-50 with other D-50 fans. :)

    Have fun!! :)

    :) TSF and D-50

  • Hey, me again...

yeah, I like the "old" 80 th sounds very much because I grew up with them. Actually I am a guitar player but I am very interested in synths as well. I can play some harmonics of course... ;-) I'll keep on learning !

I liked your guitar parts in your other videos very much even from a guitar player's perspective if you know what I mean ;-) Did you ever think about doing projects together with other people ? :-) (only for fun ) like to email? blacklight.1971@web.de - Mario :)

  • @TheSynthFreq

    Hey, its me again ;-)

from today on my D50 would not be alone anymore, I got a DX 7 II D today ;-))

Do you have any experience in transmitting patches via midi to the D50 or to a DX 7 II ? Do you know what program is needed ?

    Looking forward to your answer....

    Best regards

    Mario

  • @1971Blacklight Hi :) That's awesome that both synths can keep each other company. :) hehe DX-7 II D is sweet! I haven't had luck with SysEx data transferring, its prob my user error. lol

My computer was stolen a few months ago, so of course right as I was starting to figure it out,. that happened. :( Anyway MidiOx is a great midi program and there are lots of patches online too. FYI, D-50 is known for being 'picky' with midi data transfers. lol

  • Darn you TheSynthFreq! (shaking fist in the air) I think you Junofied me! Hearing your Alpha Juno stuff inspired me to play around with my MKS-50 again and wondering what the earlier Junos sound like so today i traded my Kayak for a absolutely mint Juno 6 and now im even thinking of dumping my current 61 key controller board and getting a Juno G. Three generations of Juno should = Juno nirvana! I have been playing around with the Juno 6 for a couple hours now , OMG wonderful

  • @IHaveSynthed Hi! :) lol I love it! "junofied!" thats awesome. :) Nice! a Juno 6? pure Juno right there. I loved playing the Juno-60 with the JSQ-60 (must have one day) ,at Switched On synth store, its heavenly and classic Juno.

Have lots and lots of synthtastic fun with your beautiful Juno-6!! I am so excited for you! :) Congratulations! :)

    :) TSF and the synths

  • @IHaveSynthed Good for you but I would recommend getting a second hand V-Synth XT over the Juno G as you will have the D50 sounds and an amazing vocoder plus some of the best synth sounds to come from Roland in years in the V-Synth engine.

  • Another smooth masterpiece!

    Love it.

  • Great song again.

  • Brilliant as always! :-D

  • *salivating over all those synths*

"Where does she get the wonderful toys?"

  • i love that sound

  • Very good.

  • Like the change of lead sound to sax, sounds great.

  • Thanks Danielle!! You made my Xmas even better with your gift of song! Did Santa bring you any sonic goodies? Juno sounds great as always as well as the rest of your gems. Hope your having a great day. I'm hoping after the family festivities to get some quality synth time in.

  • The DX9 Xylo sound is a bit low in the mix, but great track, anyway. I enjoyed it! Merry Christmas!

  • @synthlab Hi. :) Thanks! Yes, I know, I turned it down thinking it was too loud. Thanks for letting me know. :) Have a synth-tastic new years!

  • Italo Dance from Texas.

I have to do a track like this some day.

  • @Geeljasjes Yeah! Italo-Texas!! :)

    :) TSF

  • So stylishhhhhhhhh , Danielle , I really like your style , but I think you can make it more interesting if you use other patches , presets , sounds , etc . I like it very much anyway ......... ;-)

  • @Teryox01 Hi :) Thanks so much. :) Yes, yes, I have new patches being worked on with the Emax, and D-50 right now. :) Got to love synth programming! :)

    Have a synth-tastic new years!

    :) TSF

  • I'm still amazed that you're essentially playing all of those keyboards at once! Just like everything else you do, this is excellent. Merry Christmas!

  • @vincentx77 :) Thanks so much. :) Yes, the more synths the better! It can get tricky keeping each synth organized and sorted in your mind as you write a song out, but its so satisfying to make everything work together. Got to love synths. I would rather have 8 synths to keep up with, than use a computer and take the fun and the challenge out of a live synth performance. :)

Computers are cool, but I prefer old school, live synths!

    :) TSF
