  • Can you use this inside? I live in an apt., no yard area and not allowed to use the deck for

any type of fire. Thank you!

  • @sarlezzy Only if you have a fully functioning fire-place, to set the stove in to expel the smoke..

Then this little stove would be added convenience “while” it reduces to near nothing the amount of bio-mass needed. Versus just building a fire in the fireplace W / out the convenience of skillet/pan holder.

And everyone knows just using a fire-place just consumes large amounts of bio-mass.

  • i want this stove.

  • Great review man, thanks.

  • Do the ones without the lower door work OK?

Just wondering what happened to make them change the design.

  • @PrepperAZ - I don't sell it per se, but I do earn a small commission if people buy it through my discount code. Both the ecozoom and the stovetec are excellent stoves and would definitely recommend either one.

  • @PrepperAZ

I have both (the newer one I have is actually the ecozoom model which is the same thing as stovetec's: tacticalintelligence[DOT]net/blog/ecozoom-rocket-stove-review.htm). In the link I provided it details the differences.

    thanks for visiting!

  • Picked up one of these today. An OUTSTANDING stove.

  • so how much are these?

  • Good job...

  • just got my rocket stove today,It's awesome just heated about 2.5 cups water, took a few min. ~10 min but I only had 4 pcs. of .75" pine, afterwds. closed the lower door about 90% remaining coals lasted total time about 1 hr-this is the greatest be nice if you could xfer this idea to heat a home!

  • @gvigil609 or home heating search rocket stove heater and permies

  • Does it leave any soot on the cookware?

  • @jntroisi The rocket stoves I have used did leave soot on the pot (below the water line in the pot). I also have one these store bought rocket stoves that I used one time (just haven't had time to use it again). What I thought was strange was that the pot had soot but the combustion chamber of the stove didn't.

  • I think I'm in love with this stove!

  • Good review! FYI, if you Google '725 degrees rocket stove carbon monoxide', one of the first hits is a PDF showing that, among other things, carbon monoxide levels from a properly designed rocket stove will drop to ten parts per *million* once it gets up to operating temperature.

  • WELL DONE DEMO. A +

  • cool video! i am seriously considering one of these!

  • Sweet product, thorough review. Thanks!
