  • Cool old IH truck. Please post more on this truck!! Thanks!

  • Man this brings back memories of me and my dad. My dad taught me to drive a 72 Chevy truck with a three on a tree. My dad is still alive and we still talk about me learning to drive on the old country roads of Middle Tennessee.

Everyone should know how to drive a manual trans.......everyone.

  • @johndeere1305 Your obviously not 15 in 2011? This video is 2 years old and your like 10? I can tell by your high pitched voice and your goofy little boy haircut....Nice try though acting like a truck driver. What do you feel now? Embarassment?

  • @johndeere1305 how old are you?

  • im 13 and im learning to drive a 1988 international dumb truck that can pull a gosse neck trailer. oh yeah YOU'RE BADASS. =)

  • How old are you?(In the vid)

  • How old are you?

  • mate dont listen to what these dipshits are saying, im 15 now and i live in asutralia and i love trucking with a passion, im learning to drive a western star semi with an eation fuller 18 speed its not easy. but keep on trying you will get there. keep the vids coming

  • @helrazor124 shiftin' an 18 ain't too hard. you've got 5 foward gears in the low range that can all be split, then 4 more foward gears in the high range that can also be split. maybe its just my natural knack for anything automotive. who knows. lucky you get to drive a Star with an 18 tho ;)...what powerplant are you runnin', btw?

  • @n8bolton hey mate, uh we are running a signiture serious cummin but with the added joy of twin turbos ;) with 8 inch straight pipes

  • @helrazor124 good grief! lucky dog gettin' to drive a rig like that. keep her rollin', man!

  • @n8bolton hahaha cheers mate :)

  • - "you have stop first!" - "I did stop! It's only my second time!" What a fucking cock grabber. "I feel like a truck driver" But you're not! you're fucking pussy! (I'm only kidding puss... I mean kid)

  • "It's only my second time..." Thumbs up if you think he's a pussy.

  • Im 35 yrs old now and have been adicted to American steel on wheels of All types, and this where I should have grown up. Im visually impaired but van drive well at moderate speeds, and the country side aint like the city without a drivers license.

    Greetings from Montreal.

  • no afence but he thinks hes the best

  • when you can shift without clutching i will say your a good driver!

  • @nate1294 When you can downshift without a clutch you're a GREAT driver! I drove a '66 Loadstar 1600 for years, had the master cylinder go out on me while out making a delivery - I had to downshift from 5th all the way to 2nd in order to be able to get the truck moving (had to start it while in gear). That was some fun driving!

  • NICE JEEJE xD

  • dose it have power steering

  • I used to ride in old Loadstar school buses, so Its nice to hear one running from the inside again. Old gasoline engines and brakes sound better than the modern diesel and air brakes they use on school buses these days.

  • welll im 15 now and im now driving a 1997 379 peterbilt. i drive it with a trailer and i can back up and do anything in the truck.

  • @johndeere1305 peterbilt kenworth is the way to go

  • @johndeere1305 is that blue truck with the gasoline trailer the one your talking about

  • @johndeere1305 Great job driving that truck. Thos old IH's had a hell of a lot of grunt. I miss the 66 I used to drive.

  • he didn't even glance at the road for a second! ahhh red neck country

  • im drivin my '73 ih loadstar and im 13

  • listen to my '73 international Harvester 1300. u wont c much. but ull hear it purr

  • wait until the kid learns to drive one with air brakes!

  • It need's a drag link, maybe tie rod end's to tighten the steering. Also a hydrovac if the brakes need pumping or possibly just a vacuum check valve.

  • Thats a great truck nice running also

  • I'm 14 and I've been driving manual trucks since I was 7 and bigger trucks are easier to drive because you only have to use the clutch when your taking off

  • I'm 14 and I've been driving manual trucks since I was 7

  • lol, he keeps moving the steering wheel back in forth like hes in a movie or something

  • im 15 and working on one atm. its from 1968

  • Good show. Nicely done--I know people that have been driving for years that couldn't drive that beast that well.

  • Does the driver have a drivers license yet? Also noticed there was no seatbelts being worn

  • @generationll any car prior to 1960 was not force to have seat belts dumbass.

  • Good on ya Mate! I learnt to drive in old International trucks, love them

  • I started hauling silage with a '70 1600 when i was about 5yrs old. It's a good idea to carry a fire extinguisher in those old Binders for when the holley carb leaks gas all over the intake, or the exhust hanger picks up straw!

  • thats the great thing about those trucks, sure you may have skipped from 1st to 4th but it didn't stall out. haha i have a '69 1800 loadstar, same set up with the split rear. Fun to drive even with the manual steering. all you need now is a flannel shirt!

  • thank you for 5,000 views!!!!

  • 20 years older than u, that would mean u were born in 1990, which makes u 20!

    is ur mother small aswell?

  • just hope the doors the fenders and the running boards don't fall off,and don't drive it in a stubble field,

  • I love it! Great job!!!!!

  • i was 8 when i started drivin a 26 metre b-double, but dude good job.

  • ok believe it or not im 14 and im driving a manual and its my truck and i have been learning to drive it!!! its good to use and now it has really good brakes!!

  • @johndeere1305 Apart from a little mistake, you did a great job out there! Keep on truckin' and let's hope you get your CDL real soon!

  • @johndeere1305 You look really young for 14 but driving it better than i could. :P

  • @johndeere1305 i was 9 when my dad let me drive our 67 loadstar. it had 345 and that's where i pretty much leaned how to drive. i didn't drive it on my own unitl i was 13, then soon after the timing got messed up.

  • dude your a good first timer, how old are you

  • is that your own truck or is it your dad's??

  • he needs to think better then he will drive good

  • Very impressive for his age to drive a manual without killing it!

  • You're lucky kid! I'm jealous, I learned to drive standard when I was 14, and I thought I was young! Good driver though! :)

  • Very impressive. Im imagining that he takes after his ol man an likes old vehicles?

  • damn ur lucky to have a big open i assume private road like that im 15 i started when i was 10 and when i go with my dad i get to drive in small yards just look at my page i have some vids i live in ireland by the way good driving also

  • wow you're a lucky kid! does it have a 345 392 or 404?

  • Holy-Terrorist:>*=* very cool

  • Believe it or not, watching this video brings back fond memories of riding that International Loadstar school bus as a kid. The turck in this video sounds virtually identical to the bus I used to ride, which I'm assuming is also equipped with that 345 cubic inch gas engine that "whines". You KNEW it was one of those buses if your eyes were closed, and you heard it approaching.

  • That was a good shift. Any shift that doesn't stall the motor is a good one. Good job!

  • That was a smart move, blowing the horn before backing up! You have a limited view towards the back and the horn announces to anyone behind you that you are backing up!
