I used to be a member of the London Scottish Golf club - what great history - a regiment with golf club attached ! The pipe band brings back memories of events like the new Captain's drive in and several other events at the South West London club, like St Andrews night which were always supported by the pipes and drums ... all the recent agreement menat was closer cooperation between British and French forces. The French can't 'use the SAS' unless we agree to it.

You are right that we will have planes capable of flying off each others carriers in case both us and the French agree to go on joint ops.

I am now about to blow your mind!.Highland Laddie was composed by Beethoven.Beethoven stated that he w\anted to put the works of Hegel and Schiller to music and both of these were heavily influenced by the Scots Enlightenment philosopher Adam Ferguson who founded modern Sociology.Hegel even went so far as to incorporate Fergusons work directly into his own.This combined with the influence of contemporaries Adam Smith David Hume etc influenced Beethoven into composing Scots nursery rhymes!!
