Ref should've stopped it sooner. There was no need for that knockout punch. He was still standing, but the man inside was nowhere to be found. Also Toney kept him from falling on several other occassions during the fight.

@TimesEyez delgado kicked toney.. toney made him pay for that. and about the stoppage Delgado looked stunned but willing to continue, this latino fighters don't wanna give up and if you stop the fight too soon they complain and use it as an excuse. so in my opinion, good job by the referee about the stoppage

@carlitoboxing7 It's not about a fighter willing to continue. Some fighters rather die than quit. That's why it's important that a referee is there to prevent unnecessary punishment. Delgado already lost the fight way before the referee stepped in.

@TimesEyez Delgado lost the fight when he signed the contract. He was VASTLY inferior to James' level. Vastly. The gulf of talent, technique, and science between the two is so great as to be just plain silly.
