It seems the video is flipped in reverse- explaining why higher registers are at the (apparently) left side of the keyboard, not the right. In the MotifXS the mod wheel & pitch bend are at the left side, and filter controls also at left (just visible in this vid at RIGHT). It might be a good circs trick to be able to play keys in reverse but i think here it was just innocent use of a simple video edit for whatever purpose. _ the playing should be the focus so focus on that & enjoy!
Is it me or does something seems a little strange here. Do you have the keyboard tracking set in reverse as it looks like the higher notes are to the left of the keyboard!!
My table was next to where the ptch bend of the keyboard is and thats where i kept my laptop where the video recorded! Thats why it seems a little wierd! :P

haha! i dint do that intentionally! I dunno why that happens though! I kept my laptop on the table while recording and this is how it came out! lol!
