  • This is UH-MAZING!!!!!!!! we did this for our social studies project, and EVERYONE loved it!!!!!! <3

  • 4)...but I think this combination of veggies is intended to be cooked in the Cambodian way, because, as it turned out, this was a Cambodian grocery store. Thanks in advance, and congratulations on an excellent channel!

  • @GreekVegetarianRecip I think I know what you are talking about. Some Cambodian supermarket sells a Styrofoam tray with assorted veggies that has been clean, slice and dice. It is to be used in a Cambodian soup call Somlaw KoKo (Cambodian Style Ratatouille). At the moment I do not have a recipe for this one yet. There might be a couple already here on Youtube. And the other option is to turn it into a curry soup. Good luck!

  • @KhatiyaKorner Hi. Thanks so much for the title (Somlaw Koko). Yes, it does seem to be the closest match for the veggies I bought. By watching many videos here I have also identified the zucchini-like veggie. I think it is called "fuzzy squash", and one of the green herbs maybe be "rice paddy" herb). I will make it according to the Somlaw recipe next time. I had to guess last night, and so I cooked the eggplant package with garlic, lemon grass and lime leaf. The other package I cooked...

  • @GreekVegetarianRecip With all the vegetable you got, you can try to make the Vietnamese-Style Sour Soup as well. Check out my channel. I have a tutorial for that one too. I didn't use much veggies in there because I'm picky :) But you can basically put anything you like.

  • @KhatiyaKorner Yea, yeah, I did make the Vietnamese sour soup...it turned out very good. Thanks!

  • @GreekVegetarianRecip ...the other package I cooked according to your recipe for the Vietnamese soup (pineapple, tomato, etc. with shrimp).

I appreciate the suggestion that you made for the Somlaw very much and I will try it next time. Thanks again!

  • 3) The other package contained these cut up vegetables: one purple eggplant (the long kind), 3 green eggplants (the small round kind), squash (orange on the inside, with a green rind on the outside), and slivers of another white vegetable, which I think is the same kind as the one described below the green pear (but which is not really a green pear). Someone said to use lemon grass, garlic and green chili with this. if I can't find a recipe, I will try making like an Indian curry style...

  • Hi again,

I am not sure what happened to the first part of my comment, in which I praised you for this excellent recipe, which I am trying out right now. In any case, when I went shopping for groceries that I know how to use, I also could not resist buying 2 packages of already cut up vegetables, which were intended to be cooked together. The cashier in this case was not very helpful, so I hope you can help! She did say cook "sour". Now, if I can't find a recipe, I will just cook them in

  • @GreekVegetarianRecip 2) ...in the Vietnamese style of sour soup (an adaptation of which I also saw on your channel, thanks!). So here it goes:

one medium tomato, 2 jalapeno peppers, 2 green onions, 1 celery stalk, something that looks like a zucchini, but its not, something that looks like a green pear, but it is not, 1/2,; one quarter of a raw pineapple. basil leaves and some other small green leaves. Do you know how to make this? Should I add tamarind, garlic, lemongrass? Thanks!

  • Easy and quick .....wow love it !

  • @riyathai Awesome! So happy to hear that you enjoyed my recipe.

  • So colorful and mouthwatering!! Thx for this recipe.

  • delicious recipe bong!! perfect for the sunny weather!

  • @chunlyda Thanks! Yes, it's a great summer salad and also a good diet too. =)

  • Mmm yum! My mom would make a similar 'nyoam' with 'sdao'...bleh, I'd just pick out all the prawns, it would be so bitter!

  • @SomrossMealea I've never made Sadao Salad this way before. When I do make Sadao Salad I use fish flakes, tamarind and also prahok juice. This is to balance all that bitter taste from the Sadao. Actually, I don't eat Sadao because it's too bitter but I've made them before ehehhe. When you make your Sadao Salad does it involve any prahok?

  • @KhatiyaKorner I don't make it either, but yes I'm sure it has prahok in it.
