@blackman34 That's because this was the original dub that Sony tried to sell to TV networks. It was obviously rejected and then Sony licensed the series out to Media Blasters. Media Blasters found the original dub to be terrible and completely redubbed the series with far superior voice actors and better pronunciation.

This is the Sony dub. It's nowhere near as good as the regular english dub, but superior still to the sub.

I personally still love this anime no matter the voice acting. The fights are incredible.

@crane120168 I disagree. I like this dub. I used to hate the Shishio arc because it made Kenshin seem like a loser but this dub has so much energy to it that I actually enjoyed it. The other dub makes Kenshin's victory seem like a loss.

Some of the voices are pretty weird though... and what the hell is up with "Kenshi"?!

@VastedCouth Ruroni Kenshin(Original Dub) was canceled due to the writer of the manga not being done with the next big arc and the filler episodes that take up space till the next actuall story line were so bad people didnt watch. But later on in years kenshin was redone badly Im sad to say and Samurai X was the remake the new voicing was a fail plan to give fans what they want but Samurai X wasnt a fan favorite so many turned to the manga.
