well, this one is basically a parlor tricj while the one involving probability is a way to beat casinos at blackjack. it gives you a slight edge, and if done correctly, can help you earn large sums of money.

but still those ideas only explain techniques of possible controls not why it is 13 down
unless you were planning to do a reverse count and he accidently picked 13 and you used it to your favor

He always does 13 because the majority of people will pick the number 13 when asked for a number between 10 and 20.
