Isuzu rodeo dual exhaust

@jmloudon97 I dont see why not. i didn't mess with with the catalytic converter or anything so it should work in your 96.

ok i recently installed on myself on my 2003. did your ever set off the check engine light? and if so how did you fix it?

i keep getting p0171/p0174 codes. banks 1 and 2 running lean

Sorry to hear that man but I never had the check engine light come on. You might want to get it checked out by a mechanic. Wish I could be of more help.Keep me updated on what the problem is in case I ever run into it with my truck.

im thinkin that mine bein a 2003, its computer is just way more sensitive. the light goes on and off so i think it may just take time for the computer to learn. your i doubt will have the problem if it hasnt already

@Saxmachine345 well i kinda built it myself. went to auto parts store and got the pieces i needed. I know its generic but it was a heck of a lot cheaper than other options out there. do a google search and youll see some options.

60 degree V6 doesn't sounds too bad eh :) I have a free flowing exhaust on mine, actually grown to hate the loudness but friends admit that the thing sounds pretty mean considering the small engine size. BTW; these are not soccer mom only trucks. I have an older one sitting on 33" tires and lifted. It's a champ.

sound about the same as the exhaust shop here charges for installing the magnaflow muffler with the stock pipes going to the back. do you now if theres any difference in sound?

considerably faster than the 3.2..

the 3.5 is direct injected and has variable valve timing....right at 3800 the thing opens up and is gone.. beat a celica gts handily the other day...lol

mines an 04 with the 250hp direct injection...love it cause people dont expect the acceleration...especially passing power is ruthless

How much did that cost total? I went to advanced auto today for my 96 ls v6 rodeo and looked around. Im not sure if i want a exhaust kid or just a chrome tip. Plus advanced didn't have any kits for the rodeo, do you know of any stores that sell any kits?

I got this done at a muffler shop. It was about $150. Now as far as kits for the rodeos I am not sure if they exist. Read the videos description for more info on the install.

What muffler or mufflers are you using? I can get it done for cheap also did it help your gas mileage? Mine sucks even with a cold air intake but it did help.

Not really, however I like to speed sometimes just to hear the exhaust roar. I guess that would hurt your gas mileage.

I have a 95 rodeo with a flowmaster muffler and 3 1/2 stainless steel tips. It sounds about the same urs maybe alittle bit louder. i have videos on it with me doin burnouts on my friends account(73drtsprt) im getting a turbo 4 it when i can find a turbo mainfold and a downpipe

Thanks. Urs is definitly louder. Before i put a turbo on it im gonna redo the motor. Its gonna get bored out 10 or 30 over i havent decided yet. and when thats get done im gonna replace everthing. So its gonna sounds rele good then i will put a turbo on it. If you want to get a turbo for urs HKS makes one also ebay has a basic turbo kit for sale $553 but u have to find a downpipe and manifold.

why? on an offroad car wouldnt you want a supercharger so you can have a boost in torque all the time? why would you want turbo lag if your going to be climbing over stuff?

Yeah, supercharger works best on offroad cars.

K-N filters and turbo mufflers are cheap and will open up that V6 nicely!! My 98 has cheap upgrades and hauls ass...but my interior is gutted and i ride without my spare...lol!!

rodeo's definately can run a true duel exhaust system, my 2000 v-6 ls has a custom duel exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, its not scared

Well all I did was change the regular factory muffler for a magnaflow muffler that has one inlet and two outlets. Not true dual or Y pipe. I don't think the rodeos could even handle true duals. Hope this helps.

electric fans(ford crown victoria) because it has 3 speeds + your muffler (magnaflow),

air intake with K&N,

trans.oil cooler ,australian shoks(old man),

255/70/16 tires, lower temp. water valve and it is a hole new car

Well i looked to and didnt find any. but i know that the Isuzu diseals have them. Or u might have to have someone make a custom made one or a complete engine swap first so that u can get it from that car company but ur right the turbos for Isuzu's are pretty rare. so it will be a challenge but im sure that i can find a way to get one.

But I know a lot about these trucks and I'm curious as to why you'd put a double "Y" pipe system on it.....thast kind of a lot of back pressure.

Cats were not removed. One pipe in to magnaflow muffler which converts it to two pipes

where does the pipe split? after the the cat? I just got a 97 Passport and im tryin to find dual exhuast for it. The sound you got is perfect. Could you tell me the details of that exhaust from the headers back?

From the headers to the cat the truck is stock. The pipes split after the cat. It has a muffler that has one inlet and two outlets. I am using a magnaflow muffler but others have had the same results with the Flowmaster 40 series. Hope this helps.
