I'm graduating from a top university (top 30) as a legal immigrant from South America. The issue at hand is not just about college,but it's also about the unrest created around immigration. I support immigration, but I also support it's regulation. The federal government needs to stop wasting time,and take positive action to handle this issue soon!

This kid needs to get his facts straight. The dream act is not an amnesty, you should read what has to be accomplished to receive residency for those illegal students, it is not easy. And btw the amnesty was on 1986

Were the Dream Act to have succeeded, it would have encouraged more parents to again bring their children illegally into the US -- always in greater hope of yet another child amnesty program. Just as the original 1983 Reagan amnesty act promised to never allow another repeat amnesty, there have been at least 5 additional amnesties by succeeding congresses. Still today all these past Acts encourages more illegal alien immigration. The US should never grant another amnesty. STOP the process now.

This isn't necessarily the DREAM Act. I think he's speaking more about educated migrants from abroad. The notion that unauthorized migrants are criminals, though, is such a myth. Unauthorized migrants commit crimes at much lesser rates than everyone else.
