i dont get it though - whar did these computers actually do in the early days? did they word process? or play games? what?? (as were there even printers then) because i dont get why people would even buy them except for maybe.. you know as a gadget or something
Yeah, just marketing, getting the interest of investors and customers, and motivating a workforce to fanatical devotion while running a startup that creates a new market. Any fool can do that.
Steve Jobs especially... he lived on communes and traveled India for soul searching. he also tripped LSD multiple times and said it was one of the 2 best things that he ever did. read his wiki page it has the interview where he said that.

it was steve wozniak that did all of the hard work. steve jobs just marketed his creations.
