i did some reaserch on his backrounds and was shocked. so the owl actually belonged to ganon, believe it or not, when he and his wisdom heard that the boy (Link) had began his journey, he went to warn him. ganon thought of this as a change from bad to good so he no longer accepted the owl as his companion. This made Kaepora mad so revenge sat in. He started to help link even more to make ganon mad. I am not lying. look it up. Some other rumors is he belonged to guru-guru but ganon is the better1
