@mayhamfx Yeah, some people take it too seriously. I've been daily driving the crap out of my RX7 for 6 years with 380-430whp for 5 of those years. I'm well aware of how I built the engine, how to take car of it, and as a result the last 110,000 miles I've put on the car since I built this engine have been perfectly fine even with several track days in between.

I actually enjoy the stereotype myself. I was actually thinking of getting a custom plate that says "rotard" or something similar.

I have an LS-1 RX7. It's an unbelievably awesome car. Every Rotard who hates on them should ride in one, or better yet drive one just once. Mine is lightly modded, and make a little over 400 rwhp and 390 rwtq. It's reliable and gets just under 30 mpg on the highway at 80 mph.

the LS2 makes close to 300kw

Ford manage that with a meer 5.4L

And their new engine (to be released at a later date) Makes closer to the 330kw mark from 5L

A full liter less than the GM..

Well half right.. the 5.4 non SC'd makes 315KW (422hp) and thats heavily detuned. SC'd they make about 410kw (550hp) also heavily detuned.

Not sure about the LS1 but think they make 260kw (350hp)

That engines in the FPV (Ford Australia performance vehicals) GT and the motor is a modular Ford motor [Boss series]. Think the block is from a navigator and the heads are from a mustang. The supercharged motor is in the American Ford GT.

20b and r26b can make that much. with less displacement. although you'd use them only for racing, and they wouldn't have any power down low.

problem with rotaries is that they're extremely finicky motors, you cant just crank boost and expect them to work. you have to adjust fuel. rotaries don't like detonation due to the fact that apex seals are more exposed to the combustion process than a piston engines piston rings are. which is why you're better running rich on a rotary.

ive had a ladt bring a Lexus LS400 into our shop complaining of smoking.....when i pulled her valve covers off the engine was solid sludge.....we asked he when she last got her oil changed...she said the dealer told her it didnt need to be serviced for 100,000 miles....she didnt know she had to change the oil...lol

@jaydnisevil IDK? My stock LS1/4L60E 1986 mazda RX7 will still out run most any production car on the road! And I get 28MPG! Ford has NEVER built an "efficient" Engine! the fact that they are now going to 4 valves only means they are finally aplying what GM has known for years. GM got all their info from the hotrod comunity. Thats where the R&D gets done. NOT at the factory! The factory only does this after the gearheads in the back yard figure it out.
