I just bought one. It's without question THE best sounding phase shifter I've ever played. Got a good deal from a T-Rex dealer via E-bay. I was so impressed with this pedal in fact that I just ordered the Viper (univibe), and am going to be replacing my Boss DD-7 with the Replica delay.
@ksmithdc I totally agree, I just bought one yesterday and it blew me away. I couldn't beleive that I once owned a Boss PH-3 phaser which sounded more like grinding metal.
sounds ok but not Big bucks ok,too much messing on a dark stage would see me throwing it out the van post gig i think. And who gives a shit about which band its an effects review
I never like Creed but I heard the new album and it sound flawless. It's a very cohesive album from start to finish and you can tell they worked hard to get it to sound good.
Mark Tremonti is an absolute MASTER of his PRS and then some. The music of Alter Bridge where you REALLY< REALLY get to hear HIM play is the absolute best. Unfortunately Scott Stapp I think is overwhelmed by his guitarist playing so well and wants to be the only master of the band.New Creed album lets Mark shine but not nearly as much as on the AB albums
Holy shit, Really?!! Wake up dude, Creed is THE WORST band ever. Cornball music for fanny packs, open toe sandal wearing fruit cups. I can't believe anybody would take it that far, that's astounding.
I like phazers that make it sound like yu're on DRUGZ - so screwed up you can't even tell what you're playing. That way if u make a mistake nobody knowz. Just a big SWOOOOOSHHHHHHH sounds good too - Roland or someone used to make something called a 'Jet Phase' - I liked that.
do we really need a phaser pedal thats this in depth? I mean do people really use that much phaser effect in their songs? It sounds good-but I wouldn't buy this on the name across the front alone.
Well, some keep dozens of dirt pedals for subtle difference in tone, others have several kilos of delay pedals. And some are really picky about how their phasers sound. Different strokes for different folks.
Why does it have to have his name in big letters across the front? I would never use an effect that has anything to do with Creed. Too much douche tone.
@alex888brain Mark Tremonti isn't the douche... Scott Stapp is. Tremonti is the absolute best guitarist of our generation and he started another band called Alter Bridge. Check them out they are great. Mark was voted best guitar player of the year 3 times in a row by Guitar magazine. So get that dildo out of your ass and lighten up. And for gringo699c Mark Tremonti would melt Andy's face off with a single chord strum.
Andy's licks are truly endless! :-) As for the pedal, I've done my phaser hunt a long time ago and I think it sounds amazing. I would buy it right away but the "Tremonti" tag somehow just puts me off...
but maybee some of the companies who make all of the signature stuff cannot get a chance to speak to the guitarists who use their products while they are on tour
Well actually despite the pedal is made exactly as the artist wanted it, you don't need tweak the pedal exactly as Tremonti or Wyld has it on his pedalboard.
What is the song at 1:20?
or is it just improvisation?

I thought all TREX pedals were digital? I think I prefer the HBE or the Red Witch. But I think nothing beats the 1974 Phase 90/ :)

horrible. too digital sounding for me.

@jxd549 1. It's an analog phaser 2. It probably "sounds digital" because of the sound quality of the video

I personally dont feel Tremonti should be only known for creed, His talents far exceed anything creed did while he was with Alter Bridge.

Wow...people really hate Creed! I guess they were just never on my radar.
Interesting phaser, but yeah, a little extreme, maybe. Sounds good in some examples, a little too much wow-wow-wow in others. :D
Great playing from Andy as always, though.

only the younger generation that didn't rly listen to music in the 90s hate creed (besides my self and a few others)

Poor Andy having to play something with "Tremonti" on it.. The Whetstone, now there's a nice phaser.
