  • This could be a double edge sword, it is a controlled substance, but before long so will cough medicine. So, do you take away someone's right to defend themself because their ill? I would be more afraid of someone who is drunk than high on weed...

  • not all medical marijuana patients are potheads, and not all medical marijuana patients get high in the same sence that most people do. and personally, when i'm high i have just as much control as when i'm sober. i've tried welding sober, and didn't do so good. i've also tried welding high, and i still didn't do good, but i wasn't as worried that i was going to burn my hand or have slag drop onto my shoes, and it helped me concentrate. you shouldn't lose rights until you abuse them, end of story

  • @thgirwjt ya but most are pot head especially in california... u can get a med card for a sore finger out her... it is stupid everyone lost sight that this stuff was used for cancer patients and stuff. It is being abused every day and federal law needs to shut them all down until there is better control over it.

  • Not all medical marijuana users are pot heads. If you feel they should have their CCW revoked, then the same should apply to anyone who is prescribed a strong pain killer for an injury. There are several strains of marijuana that are not hallucinagenic and by design only block pain. I know several cancer survivors that have used it to reduce treatment side affects. CCW holders are law abiding citizens and they wouldn't risk carrying when impaired.

  • @zrosarcasm I agree with u for sure but most of those people probably 80% are just pot heads looking for good weed. and that is abusing it... since u have people out there that r abusing the system right now it is ruining it for many others

  • Can a pot head even buy a gun?

    Form 4473

Question 12e. Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana, or any depressant, stimulant, or narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?

  • Carrying a concealed gun is a responsibility that you choose to accept. I would hope that any body accepting that responsibility would also choose to remain sober while carrying there weapon. If you plan on having drinks or partaking in a bong rip session you should leave your gun at home. Or just don't do anything dumb while carrying and high or drunk to get yourself caught, which is pretty dumb and impossible in itself.

  • 75% of medical pot users obtained their card with phantom ailments. So this topic is a sketchy one at best. I was a pot head until I grew up and I did a lot of retarded shit when I was stoned. Pot is less intoxicating than alcohol, But it still clouds judgement. All I can really say about this topic is if pot heads can't have guns then neither can alcoholics and drug addicts. Having firearms is a right so no matter what that can't be changed unless said person is a felon or mentally ill.

  • every person has the God given right to protect them selves how she chooses to relax is none our business!!!

  • @Bulwark1911 So what happens if someone shoots and kills your mom by accident cuz they couldn't line up the sights right cuz they were stoned out of there mind?

  • @GunSkinny Then you jail them and take their gun away. However, you can't deny CCWs to people who use marijuana any more than you can deny CCWs to people who drink alcohol. It's personal responsibility, not group responsibility.

  • Since 99.9% of all potheads live in their Mom's basement if Mom will buy the bullets its OK.

  • Welp, if the law says you can smoke and CCW, I'm cool with it. Long story short- I never really understood the asinine "Reefer Madness Propaganda" in the first freaking place. Well, unless maybe you're someone that has tons of forestry and a few printing presses?

  • I respect peoples opinions, but I don't think they should carry. Fact is your state of mind is altered. Things in your body change. That could lead to a mistake. One that could be fatal. Just my thoughts. It's hard to draw the line.

  • Its america! let them carry and use!

  • @cthiggins4 I'm not sure about that pot deff clouds up the mind a bit IMO

  • @shishiromura I'm on the fence

  • @shootaglock I agree 100% however if u are a pot head/alcoholic are u ever sober?

  • @tarantulaman420 Not just pot heads take flight everyone should take flight if u have the chance

  • I completely agree!!! that woman should have every right stripped from her....! I hate weed and i hate wat the people have done with medical marijuana and completely lost sight of wat it was first used for! that person does not have the right to protect them selves, they had that right taken away as soon as they decided to sign that form and pick up a pipe instead of a gun for there protection.... its should be your life and protection or being stoned you choose?

  • @MrCleanerNash It's a fine line

  • @Drone1njj u caught that? Lol

  • If you have a clean record, then you should still be allowed to carry. To say that you are dangerous because of pain meds or medical marijuana is ridiculous.

  • DMB Rules. Be Safe

  • There is no such thing as "medical marijuana" it`s a scam so drug addicts can claim they`er sick so they can get drugs. No drug addicts should not have CCWs.

  • @quimbyt so.. people who need to drink coffee every day because they're addicted to caffeine shouldn't have CCW's? alcohol? cigarettes? all of those are drugs.. it's no different than anyone who is prescribed vicodin or anything similar to that. Don't use drugs and use or carry firearms. I'm pretty sure that's common sense. If someone can't understand that they shouldn't use/carry guns while under the influence, then they shouldn't get a CCW purely based on their lack of common sense.

  • Nothing is wrong with cannabis. and i definitely do not think their second amendment rights should be taken. Peace&pot

  • im in northern cali, shit grows like weeds, hell yea pothead or not should be able to defend themselves.

  • In my opinion the only people who should not be able to carry openly or concealed are those who have been found guilty of a violent crime in the past 15 years. That's of course not including mentally incapacitated people who should not have weapons either.

  • if an alcoholic has the right to carry so should a pothead; however, i personally dont think you should carry if you are under the influence of any drug, legally prescribed or not.

  • 100% for it.

  • I agree with the judge. I dont use drugs, but based on the sheriffs argument, anyone given a prescription for vicodan or percocet should turn in their permit.

  • as long as you dont have a criminal record there is nothing wrong with being allowed CCW. a pothead is gonna take flight rather then fight. just cause youre stoned doesnt mean you irresponsible.

  • A citizen of the United States is a citizen of the United States, period.

  • @GeneralMarbleMan should mentaly handicapped US citizens be issued a carry permit? What about people with Parkinson's...How about bi-polar issues? Do all these people have the right to their second amendment?

  • @cutlerylover I definitely think people with physical handicaps such as parkinsons should be allowed to. As far as bipolar people go (and other mental handicaps), if you're violent then you probably have a criminal record that would not allow you to carry. I have a friend who is bipolar and I would trust them 100%. Some people, like my friend just get VERY depressed; nothing that would keep you from having a ccw legally.

  • yeah we need some gun porn to look at lol...anyone who is a US citizen pot head or not has the right to defend themselves IMO but what the fuck do I know lol.
