@omagashhh If you have a mac, press Command T. This should bring up a transform.... also, be POSITIVE your using a new layer... When I started with the whole eyelash thing i had the worst time undoing and such. Hope this helps! Oh anddd if you will, could you check out my channel? I don't do tutorials but i do sing :)

hmm, there is a less time consuming and more natural looking way to do lashes with the pen tool (if you don't have a palet to do it freehand). do all the lashes at once with the pen tool, not using the free transform and dublicate. you can get rid of the path by clicking enter, this allows you to easily start a new path (lash).

to give the lashes a more natural effect, do use the pen pressure (set to about 30-40%) and then start your lash underneath the actual lashline. this will look...

...a little bit odd while you're doing it, but it ensures you that the thickest part of your lashes will be at the lashline. once you've done that make sure all your lashes are on the same layer (if you did not already do them on the same), lower the opacity so you can clearly see the eye through your lash-mess. then just trace the lashline and erase whatevers left underneath it (on the lash layer of course). it does not matter if you don't get a straight line, because the lashes would not be...

if you do your lashes individually with the pen tool, be sure to use at least 2-4 diferent brush sizes (you can do some big ones, some middle ones and then the smalest) to make it look natural, since not every lash is the same size. also don't forget to click enter after stroking your path.

although this method does sound more challenging, it is more time effective, actually easier because you won't need to free transform and it gives you a more natural.

after you're done and satisfied with the shape or your lashes, use blending modes, opacity settings or even hue/saturation or the opacity look to change the harshness/softness and colour of your new lashes.

the soft light blending mode for your lash layer seems to be the best one for well lit and colour balanced pictures and works very well. however if it does not work for you, just try out the other blending modes until you like the result.

i hope this could give you a quick idea of a slightly diferent method to use the pen tool for creating lashes and you can use these tips in one way or another ^^ however i have to note that i'm not an educated photoshop pro but since i've used it for ages i now can use it for work.

@jOdieeeiLy you download the free trial & find serial keys on youtube type serial keys for ever which photoshop version you choose,i chose cs5 extended..alot better than paying 600-900$, i will keep asking you for the serial number again everytime you start another photoshop session i dont know how to prevent this:/ just keep finding serials,you can alternate the serials each time it asks again.

@stripedsockxx Notably, this picture isn't even a picture of the guy doing the tutorial. Also, to a lot of people, including myself, it's an art form. I love manipulating pictures, and often of myself because I don't want to offend someone else or something, and it's not because I think I'm ugly or I want to pretend I look a different way. It's the same reason I draw: I like creating art and making it look nice.

Please help! :( I did this for one eye and it worked perfectly! But now when I try and do the other eye every time I press ALT and drag it creates another layer copy of the background and just moves the entire picture around. What am I doing wrong and how do I fix it :(?

Just duplicate the layer another way. On a Mac, it's Command + J. On a PC, it's Control + J.
