Inside the Langemark German Cemetery, Belgium

just been here very dark scary place saddens me that my country get nice peaceful graves but these poor young german souls not knowing what was going to happen get put in a mass grave of 12.,000 in there very scary british,german,french,canadian­,austraillian should all be burried alongside each other forever peace in mother europe!

I was here in June 2006, I think it is a disgrace the way these young men have been treated, I know war is not nice but this is there graves. It is a very dark and eerie place.

I visited Langemark in May 2008 during a trip to Ypres and the Somme battlefields. I thought that it was a dark horrible place, compared to the CWGC Cemeterys. They may have been enemies in life, but they boys buried here deserve better.

We visited in the summer of 2000,perhaps in the sun it looks different,but we found it far more impressing then Tyne Cot ever could be.

The reasons why I found it a horrible place, had nothing to do with the weather, we had beautiful, sunny weather. It was how dark and foreboding I found it under the trees, knowing that there were thousands of young men buried in multiple lairs. The dark crosses and figures that are dotted about the cemetery added to darkness I felt, and indeed was felt by the other members of our group. I'm glad that I visted Langemarck, however, due respect to those young men buried in Flanders and TheSomme
