Yes, take responsibility for yourself financially and emotionally. Put yourself in a position to financially provide for others, but don't rush getting married or having kids. The longer you wait to make those decisions, the more mature you are and financially better off you are.
I understand all of this. and you won't become a man until you balls up and decide that you are sick of living in sin. God will produce the man because we are supposed to show Jesus Christ. follow the Spirit in every aspect and you will become a real man. can you disagree?
Critical thinking isn't allowed in "education" anymore, questioning social policies is taboo, the jobs young men normally got have been phased out, divorce laws and courts are anti-male, the media continuously bashed men, young women try to behave bossy and bitchy and aren't really pleasant company or long term relationship material, the entire society is sick and corrupt, but who gets continuously blamed for not wanting to sacrifice to keep this pile of sh*t up ? Young men...
I would agree with most of that. Dude, pay your own bills, make your own money. Man up. BUT, I do stupid dangerous stuff, not to impress my friends, but because I enjoy it. It's not a game of one upping another, but it's fun to get an adrenalin rush. I'm just saying.
Mr. Driscoll seems a little bit biased in his opinion of "manhood." All the traits that he associates with being "A Man"...are all objectives that he's has accomplished! And also, doing college in 5-8 years doesn't make anybody a "loser," because some people have setbacks - like in my own life, I have many chronic medical illnesses, and I can't push myself too much. Mr. Driscoll is way too opinionated. And why doesn't he mention traits of "men" that he hasn't accomplished in HIS life?
at one point (13:05) he says "the least likely person to see in church is a single, 20-something male" well im 17 turning 18 and i honestly feel i will be in that statistic, i go every sunday hoping my dad will start going, but he never really does. ive been single for 2 years and i feel thats the way god wants it to be for me. i try my best to live my life for god and i make my mistakes and stumble in my walk with him. i thank you for this video, i really enjoy watching these videos
ugh SO GOOD. I have to get over to Mars Hill soon, I'm only a few hours away. Evangellyfish with no spiritual vertebrae. So true. And girlfriend's enabling. Also true. I'm more than guilty there. Praise God for wonderful, talented men like Mark.

It's so hard to be a man today when the world pressures you to remain a child

love this preaching! Gah! I hope there are more men in my church.. I get the feeling that they are either boys or (sadly) gays.... hhhhhhh
So in the end, a lot of single ladies... or just stuck and don't marry... :(
