I studied with Jon for a couple of years- amazing guitarist and great guy! I'll never forget one day, with a big smile on his face, he told me "It's hard to be optimistic when everything sucks" Haha! For straight up jazz guitar I don't think you could find a better player!

I agree. Jon is a long time teacher and mentor. Anyone who knows him and his playing knows he is a genius. And I don't use that term lightly.

I wish there was more of Jon Wheatley. Okay, for the guy who said bebop cliches, let me just say, Jon IS AMAZING. I took a class with him at Berklee, he asks the class to name a song, and any key, and he automatically will start playing the most amazing solo guitar arrangement of it. The man is a human library/machine when it comes to jazz. RESPECT MODES9 RESPECT!
