@rodcb2011 only your opinion dickhead, mansell was revered in many countries for his skill and honesty. senna regarded him as his biggest threat so what does that tell you Mr knows shit about anything ?
@blainyrules i think Verstappen led a race for minardi not very long ago. i think they gambled on wets and everybody was on slicks and he had a monster lead until they stopped the race for safety reasons. maybe 6 or 7 years ago.
@zabraoota He actually did not lead a race, he won friday qualifing at the French GP 2003, when he was the only one with his teammate to use dry tyres on fast drying track
@kimiferrarifan@wandy29 are not same cars ;) this are more power cars, From 1982 the most Speed on a GP stup was 369km/h by Patrick Tambay Ferrari, when Senna died they sloed a bit now top speed at Monza is 330km/h
I love it how that pit crew wears shorts and t-shirts. I mean.. it's really only 20 years ago and look at the star wars -themed protective gear they got on nowadays.
@PippinRally Yep, they can. Although the reverse gear is incredibly small, and a driver must be careful to keep the revs low or else he'll cause some serious damage. Supposedly drivers are discouraged from using the reverse gear and you'll see most of them do a burnout to spin around as it's quicker, anyway. This year at Monaco you saw a few cars reversing out of run-off areas during the practice sessions.
My answer was not "No he crashed into Senna", I made a factual statement of "he crashed out of the race with Senna." I didnt say he wasnt DQ from the race, any Johnny come lately can see the stats, just like they will see that Felipe Massa won the Belgium Grand Prix 08 without having a clue about what happen between Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen. Everyone remembers Austria 2002, but what happen in Japan 1991? Berger won the race, but nobody remembers why? stats are part of the story
Yes Mansell did take out Senna. I've been watching Formula one since 1985, and I saw that race live. Review the 1989 FIA review VHS, 1989 AutoCourse, or check out why Senna retired from the 1989 race in Portugal.
@BlackBlueMen it doesn't matter. anyone who has been on track knows the rule that you follow the direction of the track. yeah it sucks people were in his way but that's racing
Clearly he missed it because the other team were out too far.
