Pitbulls and Dobermans! ARE YOU SERIOUS! They are great with kids. They do not snap nor does any other dog. I know from first hand an adult pitbull can be adopted and placed in a home with kids.

I can tell right the person making this list doesn't know what they are talking about. For one there is no such thing as an aggressive breed. NO dog is naturally aggressive, they don't pop out of there mom and bite people. "Pit bull" is not a breed, its a generic term used two describe 3 diffrent breeds. ALL of the pit bull type breeds were bred to have 0 human aggression, even in dog fighting, a dog who bit or showed aggression was not bred, and was killed.

Yes, I am also a trainer for an Animal Shelter. Maybe you should pay more attention because that arugement was over again. Don't fuel a dead fire thats not smart. Oh and you can be an expert trainer that does not make you an expert on breeds. Those are two diffrent subjects.

@magicalcrazyness it IS my fault for 'fueling this dead fire' but the whole point of this was about pitbulls. ok so its very obvious each of us KNOW our dog breeds, and on some points, there are biased facts. all im sayin is pitbulls are a breed with strong jaws, while others say differently. lets not fight this anymore, we all love dogs and thats important.

@gannergirl99 Go to Pit bull Rescue Center, click on breed info scroll down to the red. (not trying to argue just sharing) Also you can see on you tube even that pit bulls have an average bite pressure. ^_^ Two videos on here show this, Bite force competition, rott, pit, GSD (second video) and the other one is called dog attack styles. I will post pressures in another comment. (not enough room. :] )

That does't make them bad dogs, obviously that dog had a bad owner or it would not be running around jumping in your yard. There is a labrador that does that around here, it attacked me once and my German Shepherd/lab mix grabbed it neck and shook it off of me. That doesn't make labs bad, the owner lets it run free and abuses it. I reported them but the cops won't do anything.

for one pit bulls dont have very strong jaws compared to many breeds, they actualy have one of the least powerful jaws of the dog breeds, a dog wit ha huge jaw power would be a kangal wich has a around 700lb per square inch bite force were pit bulls are around 200lb, ive had 5 pitbulls in my life time and i work at a shelter, we have never had a aggresive pit bull, many aggresive labs and border collies, but not a pit bull
