Two of my favorite teachers in my whole school got the pink slip (laid off) today. There were tears, and everyone was so sad. Our school choir (including me) learned this song within 2 hours and right as they were leaving the building for the last time, we stopped them and sang this song.

I am getting married this september and my colors are the pancreaitic cancer colors. I know it does feel like it but, it will get better. I used to sing this to my kids when they were younger. My boy has moved to florida and my oldest daughter is off to college. I pray that this wish becomes a part of them forever. I have a six year old that I do not get to see as much as I would like. She lives with her momma. So many nights I am alone with them on my heart. I miss how it was and grateful of the times we had.I pray I get to be with my little one more often. Time goes by so fast.

I lost the love of my life through Divorce, my Mom also passed away 6 months ago, and this song has helped me through some of the pain that I have had to deal with in the tradgedy of losing them both! when my elementary school closed when i was in 5th grade, we had a power-point with pictures of the years in our school... my eyes well up when i think about it. my teachers and friends (including me) bawled and it was so sad. great song though!
