D-E-R-E-K! Sounds just as good 35 years later. One of the most underrated, underutilized rock singers and a pretty good guitar player. I actually saw Nugent 3 times in the 70's. The second time I saw him Derek was with him. It goes without saying that it was by far the best of the three shows.

Unfortunately, Cliff passed from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in 2008. Vic Mastrianni, his predecessor in the Dukes, is still active, although not in hard-rock.

Derek St. Holmes was/is GREAT and INIMITABLE. Ted Egogent shouldn't have ever let him go. As we know, good singers will ALWAYS trump good guitarist in the attention dept. Then, the "guitarist" fires the good singer.

Last night I was listening to Ted and was daydreaming about how cool it would be for the originals to be together. This morning I was just floating around the tube and came across this, my eyes welled up, thank you for the post. They may have only made a few albums together but God how incredible they are. Get off your ass Ted and put this band back together, you guys were and are the shit.

@455Transam -More than likely, this appears like a "one time" get together, unfortunately. Ted would be sitting on top of a gold mine if it was anything else. But then again, he buried that goldmine a long time ago with his overinflated ego. I am sure that if Derek and Rob can put away their animosities (justified, in my opinion) then Ted should have the balls to do it also. And Derek and Rob would be right there with him if he did, I truly believe it.
