  • do they get to eat the goats brain?

  • @killerqueen501 No, there is no brain.

  • I tried raw feeding once and my dog started chattering its teeth I think it was from the taste of blood and its behavior started changing it started to become more aggressive towards me and not listen so I stopped. I tried feeding the dog raw meat today after 4 years without, it wouldn't even touch it. I think raw meet triggers primitive behavior in dogs but thats my theory.

  • @krispy42008 Your theory is incorrect. My dog has been eating raw for a long while now and she's still a dog.

  • @krispy42008 You are a, ahhhh, what's the word??? DUMB-ASS

  • I only tried raw feeding once. I got a couple of chicken drumsticks for my dogs (a boston terrier and an aging german shepherd mix) and handed them to them. The boston grabbed her drumstick and ran off to her bed, but didn't seem to be able to chew any of the meat off. The shepherd mix glanced at the chicken and then just stared at me. Even when I removed the meat from the bone and gave it to them, the shepherd mix showed no interest and the boston couldn't eat it. Or maybe she's just lazy. XD

  • @Iluvmangalots That's because they were used to the dog 'food' that you give them...Let them fast for a day or so and try again.

  • @MrKp5259 The older one's super picky these days, and I doubt she'd eat food she doesn't want even if I starved her, because as it is right now she's gotten quite skinny. That might work for the boston, although I'm not sure, because she seemed to genuinely have trouble chewing it, and she's a huge glutton, so she's not picky. I suppose it might have been because she's not accustomed to that much work to eat meat, since she normally only gets cooked meat. Anyway, thanks for the advice!

  • tasty.

  • wtf?

  • would frozen mice be better?

  • @zehnsechz I experimented with them but the dogs weren't huge fans and the per ounce price is super expensive. Plus, that does nothing to clean their teeth.

  • @RainFireOnYourMom I highly doubt a tiny dog would be eating a goats head in the wild.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 The bottom line is that domesticated dogs are decendants of wild dogs and wolves. That is why raw is beneficial to dogs. There we go. Problem solved. Lets move on!

  • @HopesCharm I never said I disagreed with feeding a dog raw (or cooked, they like it cooked too). I'm just saying it's retarded to say a tiny dog like this would kill a goat and eat it's head in the wild.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 It wouldn't unless the goat were already dead and skinned by vultures in the wild.

  • ew what the fuck, just feed him steak or something. this is beyond disturbing.

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 : She got the goat head from a Mexican store. You can read the description under the video. And yes, it looks disturbing. If I have a small dog, I would give him whole chicken or duck. I feed my cats whole fish. They love it.

  • @OS253 yeah I read the description, I don't see why that matters lol. I knew it was a goat head, I just don't see what the point of that is. anybody who would let their animal eat another animals' face has problems lol

  • @CowieMooCowxo87 The point is that there aren't a lot of bones that the Pomeranians can chew on to clean their teeth where they don't take in a ton of meat first that fills them up. The goat head doesn't have a lot of meat on it but it has a lot of different textured surfaces that makes them chew with all the different surfaces of their teeth, not just the front or back ones. Disturbing? Yes. Functional? Yes.

  • Been raw feeding my chihuahua/terrier mix for several months now and she's never been healthier. I have a question though... how do you get good bone in their diet? I tried chicken legs but apparently that is too much meat (she only needs 0.25lbs per day)?

  • @Rebelprofiler253 wait so did you cook the meat a lil bit to like get the worms and bacteria out of it or do u feed it straight to her

  • @CRAZYPICKLEJUICE45 LMAO. She eats it straight. Sometimes frozen, sometimes chilled from the fridge, sometimes she lets it sit out until it's room temp. Dogs have different stomachs than people do so they aren't generally given bacteria problems like we are and worms in meat comes from flies. That said, it's also all people grade cuts of meat.

  • @Rebelprofiler253 Wings and necks are a good way to get bone in the diet for small dogs.

  • @CoolGuy62093 your stupid, yo. trying to be cool behind a computer by telling this lady they dont kill goats for her " stupid little dog"

  • like a boss!.....or a queen.

  • For some reason, I find this very adorable.

  • How the hell is this graphic? It's just a goat's head.. if you think that it is actually horrifying then you must be eating mystery meat from McDonald's daily.

  • @Glennifying It's probably graphic to people who are squeamish looking at a skinned goat head... Yeah, who knows whats in those "meat" patties McDonald's makes.... For all I know, we're eating rotten pig assholes.

  • @Glennifying It's graphic because it is not something we are exposed to often. But it's as nature intended it and they are doing just that. However, for those that are looking up on dog videos or pom vids, some of them are squeamish and would prefer not to see it. I'm not squeamish and am looking up on this very topic, raw feeding, but it's nice to know if you're about to view something that closely resembles the animal's living form being torn and picked at as opposed to a few cuts of raw meat.

  • @ChameleonicRenegade Well.. you were already warned in the title of the video.. so I have no idea why people would still complain. You're right though.

  • @Glennifying We're warned, yes. Just explaining though how it is graphic is all.

  • @ChameleonicRenegade That's exactly right!

  • @Glennifying It's graphic to people who aren't used to seeing raw feeding. Heck, even my family who is used to my raw feeding is still squeamish about the goat head feeding. So I felt it was fair to warn people that it might gross them out before they watched the video.

  • Are ethnic markets expensive?? Or cheap?

  • @apbtdobe Cheap!

  • @apbtdobe They were pretty cheap. They've gotten more expensive as the demand has gone up.

  • at first I was all fine with it. Seeing if a little dog can have that sort of diet. and when i read the description and it said it was a goat head i thought, Oh, cool. Then i looked at the meat the little dog was eating and I could see the goat head. I gagged. That was a horrifying discovery.

  • chupa cabra

  • Why is it Graphic. It's natural

  • poms are so cute

  • I understand that it's a healthy diet for dogs but... come on, that's just disgusting...

  • Reminds me of the dog from blade.

  • kawaii

  • TOO SHORT!

  • Nice! My chihuahua, River eats raw but I'm pretty sure she'd be afraid of a goat head!:)

  • lol Cute little Pomeranians eating a skinned and graphic goat head. Never saw anything like it.

  • Awesome video I'd love to feed Saya a meal like that.. Her favorite is whole quail and saury..

  • all pomeranians look same

  • I have a small, 5lb chihuahua/pomeranian aka "pomchi", and thought of getting him started on raw. I looked at his size and thought 'Oh Boi' this may be a challeng since he eats like a finicky bird. Well, i gave him his first pork neck the other day and he turned into the tazzmanian devil! Just invision this whirl wind of fur going crazy on the meat and in minutes the bone was bare and he looked up at me, standing over the almost gone bone, as if saying, "My precious!!!" LOL!!!

  • @maharley27 Now THAT'S a video I'd like to see! Maybe next time. Makes me want to go to the store for pork neck (not sure what that looks like, but) since I'm thinking of getting completely away from commercial dog food....cat food too! A "good" brand isn't good enough.. My dog itches and my cats get thyroid issues. SOMETHING is wrong.... Remeber that viedeo next time..lol

  • (continued...) Raw was meant for dogs and cats! Pets who eat raw have a stronger immune system, live longer WITHOUT VACCINES! I do not advocate anyone not getting vaccines for your pet, but do your research before making that decision. RAW IS THE WAY TO GO! DonnaNPups... you rock! i have 3 dogs, one rmb diet, one who won't eat anything other than good quality dogfood and another that eats a combo of the two. By far, the spunkiest and healthiest is the raw-eatin' one :D

  • re: Giannadapple:Imagine feeding a kid McDonald's 3 meals a day/365 days a year. That is EXACTLY what most dog food is like out there! There are a few very "good" kibble food (ie Grain-free with organic meats) but the problem is that the cooking kills essential nutrients. In addition, raw meats have enzymes that help digest.ALL animals are born with a certain amount of enzymes and once expended, there are no more! The body will start to steal enzymes from heart or other organs to digest food.

  • Bad-ass! But this video would've been really impressive if you hadn't edited out the kill.

  • hahaa that one crawling around is so cute LOL

  • I would cation against feeding brain matter, cooked or raw. Scientists are unclear how prion diseases or transmissible spongiform encephalopathies will spread in the future and there have been jumps between species. Other than that...feed away, your dogs teeth will be healthy and clean up after them will be easy!

  • @jmishkab There was no brain.

  • ewwwwww

  • What beautiful dogs! I LOVE Poms. I got a pig head for our Jack Russell once. It was great to watch her try to eat it. She ate what she wanted and then I bagged it up and tossed it back in the fridge. After about a week I had to get rid of it, but it was great for her and I wish I could do it more often.

  • Oh I'm sorry if I offended you I just think it's gross that people feed there dogs raw meat

  • @giannadapple Until the pet food industry was born from the slaughterhouse industry (surplus animal parts used to make pet food) dogs caught their food or got scraps from human meals. Dogs are actually carnivores so God designed them to get all their nutrition from meat. Kibble is just junk from waste - either slaughterhouse waste or farming waste. Sometimes the simplest way is the best way. Nothing gross about it. Raw feeders have some of the healthiest dogs you will ever see.

  • That's soo gross only back woods people that don't care about there dogs feed them that

  • @giannadapple Actually highly educated people who understand that their dogs are carnivores and are built to eat raw meat and bones. Kibble is not a natural food source and dogs are not meant to eat grains and all the other filler in kibble. The high process and heat destroys most of the nutritional value that was in kibble to begin with any way. Perhaps you should look into the subject further before calling anyone "back woods".

  • @giannadapple No, back woods people who don't care about their dogs feed them Ol' Roy. People who care about their dogs spring for the more expensive and better ways to feed them.

  • Go, fuzzball, go! ;) Going on 2.5 years raw, here!

  • how is it GRAPHIC! they ain't nothing wrong with it...

  • Lucky little pup..Goat Head makes wonderful soup!!.

  • what a cute little demon =)

  • do you feed the dog anything else besides meat? im thinking about getting a chihuahua at 8 weeks old and just strictly feeding he/she this. thanks!

  • So he's eating. How is this Graphic?

Also, if it's so graphic, then why didn't you put a different thumbnail?

  • @Mayokitty7 They only give you a choice of 3 thumbnails and they all had the head in it.

  • People from many cultures eat the heads of animals. As well as the tails, feet testicles, brains and other organs. Some people also eat hot dogs. The worst of both worlds.

Good for you for feeding your dogs raw meat. They're beautiful. :)

  • this..uhh turned me on..

  • Lol Little dogs get RAW WIth It!! :P

  • if a dog can no longer digest raw meat, then keeping it alive is a form of abuse

  • Thanks so much for this video! I just started feeding my two poms a raw diet about a month ago, they are the same age as yours! Can you share what the diet you feed them consists of? I would be forever thankful. I think they are doing great in the diet, specially the youngest one, he is a lot more energetic and some symptoms disappeared. However, their stools have been dark and soft in the last few days. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • @LaCiguapaRebelde I gotta buddy who feed his dog like this, so I can tell you that their stool will be more "human like", rather than the hard clumps you're likely used to. This is natural, because a natural diet produces natural stool.

    Hope that helps.

  • @hckcm7315 I think the reason was that they needed a little more bone in their diet and a less complex transition, meaning that I should only feed them one thing at a time. I just started feeding them only raw chicken wings and backs and I think they are doing better. I will do this for at least a week, and then integrate other meats as they adjust to the transition. Thank you!

  • Isn't that a LOT for a little doggy, or are they sharing?

  • I wonder what is the oldest raw fed dog that you know of? I own a 1.5 year old Rot-mix and am a beginner to feeding raw. The results have been amazing. I have researched for a couple years now, but cannot seem to find much hard data in the way the lifespan of our raw fed ones, esp. for the larger breeds.

A head is actually quite nutritious, the eyes are very high in Zinc. Great to see.

  • WHAT THE HELL IS SHE EATING?!?!?

  • @80spopQueen A goat head.

  • @DonnaNPups ohhhh! lol! looks muchy in a scary kind of way

  • Some people might look at this and go "ew" but it is way more healthy than the crap kibble sold in stores.

  • This is so awesome to watch. Just like nature intended, thanks for sharing.

  • Good for your Poms, makes them feel like real dogs!

  • @kailuagirl87 Ha ha - they ARE real dogs! And Poms have no idea they are small, they think they are GSDs!!

  • I have very close friends who lost a dog under anesthesia while getting his teeth cleaned. Absolutely heartbreaking, but they won't even consider raw. I'd been considering a goat's head for my Belgian. Maybe I'll go ahead and do it ... so long as I don't have to look at it, lol.

  • Nice. I have always wanted to feed our australian cattle dog and aussie shepherd a goat head. Someday they will feast on a head of goat. Cheers

  • cute dogs!!! What was that animal head you gave them? looked like a cow

  • @DOWSOE It is a goat head. A cow head would be HUGE!!!

  • how expensive is it to feed raw, I am thinking about getting my pom puppy on it at some point

  • @NocturnalSweetie Cheap with a little dog. My Pomeranians only eat about 2 ounces of food a day! I would highly recommend it with little dogs to keep the teeth looking nice. Make sure you give them meaty bones they have to chew on at least 2-3 times per week as that's what keeps all the tartar broken off.

  • @TheRescueDogs Thanks! I do already give him pork bones to chew on but his meals consist of high quality dry dog food. Think about switching to the raw since its seems to be an even better choice and much more natural and healthy.

  • @NocturnalSweetie For small dogs, really cheap. My Poms eat about 2 ounces of raw food a day on average. It's more expensive if you buy the premade commercial raw diets. Cheaper if you get meat from the grocery store. Just balance out over time about 70% muscle meat, 15% bone, and 15% organs.

  • @NocturnalSweetie For a pom shouldn't cost too much especially if you have freezer space it doesn't cost me much to feed my 20lb shiba inu..

  • awwww how cute for the first few seconds hes all i cant get my mouth into this damn it

  • @Alphawolf3513 That's the beauty of it, they have to work really hard!

  • trim their body so they look like a small lion

  • @Isreal4realz I like fur!

  • I want to do this with my cats and their kittens, but grind up a whole rabbit for them.

  • @utahactor That's a great idea! Cats are even more carnivores than dogs!

  • lol@warning. I must have been desensitzed to the raw feeding as I have to handle hearts and livers all the time. Nothing is gross to me anymore.

  • That is the funniest looking wolf pack I've ever seen.

  • @Transill They are wolves on the inside. :)

  • Your dogs are adorable! And I agree, this is the only way to feed a dog, some people just don't understand.

  • I've only been feeding raw for about a year now i got a friend whose family owns a meat packing business and i can get about anything. I also bought me a meat grinder from northern tool. It works great by the way. I put turkey wings, backs, necks, etc. in it and it goes right threw them. I usually grind up the tripe wih a couple hearts and maybe a kidney or two. You got any ideas for me as far as what else i could feed? i do feed pork neck bones and stuff but i always try to keep my dogs intersted

  • @apbtdog1 Why are you grinding? Let them have the whole animal part! They need the bone whole for teeth cleaning.

  • @dovie2blue I don't grind any RMB i just grind their tripe that way i can portion it out to my four APBT's easier, and tripe doesn't have bones so..... No i'm right there with ya on the bone thing

  • i feed my dogs raw too but it truly hillarious to see that little Pom enjoying that so much LOL

  • @apbtdog1 We've just upgraded to pig heads! LOL

  • that was awesome.. my dogs get more excited over meaty bones than regular dog food

  • @pon686 Mine, too.

  • My pitbull/greyhound mix eats Taste of the Wild and Organic Ground Beef everyday. I only need to use about 2 1/2 cups Taste of the Wild and about 3 cups OGB (he weighs 78 lbs) to fill him up as he eats only once a day after my husband and I have eaten and he has worked hard all day with me and assisted me with helping other dogs become more social.

Once a week, he gets a "soup bone" a large femur of cattle to gnaw on.

And, it is very easily digested.

  • I have a 6 month Samoyed puppy and 2 Pomeranian and 1 of them is 15 years old and the other is 1 year. I am researching a lot on raw diet for my dogs especially the Samoyed

How would I start feeding the raw diet? I know it has to be introduced gradually but where do I start?

  • @mrandmrscash I would say start with GROUND UP meats, and then, gradually build to more solid meats....And use organic...no antibiotics, preservatives, etc. Also, make sure the dog works to earn its meal, and only eats after you do, so it will understand YOU are the packleader.

  • @mrandmrscash @mrandmrscash I will direct you to the Yahoo Group for rawfeeding, which has a FAQ on getting started as it won't let me post the links here. I started with chicken and then when they were tolerating that well added other protein sources. I do not feed organic except liver. I simply can't afford it. Let me know if you have more questions!

  • can i ask, when you are feeding rabbit, do you feed the ribs? i have a shih tzu and i am afraid she night choke on them? they look so small.

    thanks

  • @cherryberryblossom I feed the whole thing. I have never had a problem but if you are worried, I would just keep an eye on her while she eats.

  • @DonnaNPups thank you..:)

  • @cherryberryblossom A dog won't choke on bones as long as they're left uncooked. The cooked bones can splinter and cause damage, but raw bones are perfectly safe. :D She may cough a bit on them if she doesn't chew them correctly the first time, but it's definitely no worry.

  • @CalicoFeathers , i keep hearing that, but yet, i have talked to one person live that is a foster for rescues, her colleague had a pug that choked to death on a raw bone.

kyia, my shih tzu has been raw for a year now, and does fine, but sometimes coughs and gags when chewing a bone. but i thought the rule was feed a bone bigger than the dogs head? that is why rabbit ribs worried me.. but she ate the leg fine the other day..:)

  • @cherryberryblossom Choking is a risk with whatever your dog puts in their mouth. They can choke just as easily on ground, mushy food as they can on a bone. Dogs have choked on kibble. On tennis balls and sticks and rocks. Rabbit especially should be really easy for your dog to crunch up. Smaller, hard bones I'd say are more of a no-no.

If they've swallowed more than they should, usually the dog will cough/throw it back up. :D

  • My two chihuahuas love raw meaty bones and their teeth are perfect at 8 and 9 years of age! It's what nature intended peoples........ get with the program!

  • This is great!!! This is a big meal for a pom! How much of this would he/she eat? I want to start my chi on raw who is similar sized to your pom. Can it crunch through these skull bones with it's small jaw or does it just tear the meat from it and leave the skull? x

  • @m46664 No, they just tear the meat off of it. The only animals they can really eat the bone from are small animals like poultry and rabbits. And it's not really that big of a meal. It's a lot of bone with some muscle meat attached to it. I feed it because it makes them gnaw a lot, which is great for keeping the teeth clean.

  • @m46664 My chi's love raw chicken wings/legs and their teeth are PERFECT! They crunch right through them.... Bigger bones they tear off the meat and then slowly gnaw gnaw gnaw over the WEEKS until there's nothing left! Little devil carnivores xoxo

  • This is great!!! This is a big meal for a pom! How much of this would he/she eat? I want to start my chi on raw who is similar sized to your pom. Can it crunch through these skull bones with it's small jaw or does it just tear the meat from it and leave the skull? x

  • Do you feed them raw small fish? Are they OK with the bones?

  • @chuncky900 I have fed fish in the past but not very frequently because I hate the smell of fish. I usually just give them fish oil capsules. And my dogs have always been fine with all of the bones I've fed them.

  • It's just funny seeing lap dogs eating primal. It's cool though, that's what I would do!

  • @spazchicken1 Thanks. I posted it for a friend who worked in a raw foods store who said people would tell her their dogs were too small to eat raw.

  • Poor Little Puppie's Hungry!

  • What kind of head is the dog eating?

  • illlllll!!!!!

  • HAHAHAH little fox dog thinks its vicious..... at one point it growls, its so funny seeing it try to eat something bigger than itself....

  • Does this remind anyone else of Critters? Lol, cool vid, though.

  • wat is he eatinq

  • I feed my pom bil-jac small breed select and occasionally boneles skinless chicken breast and some steamed veggies but a raw goats head on the ground? ha ha i hope they get some fruits and veggies too. antioxidants would be important for feeding like that.

  • holy crap is that a cow head hahahha.

  • I am neutral towards raw feeding (some of the better manufactured food is good enough). It has its advantages for sure.

However, there is just something CREEPY about seeing a pomeranian eating a raw animal head

  • @rocketcunt It is gross. Unfortunately, it is difficult to find bones that have little enough meat that they don't gorge themselves but big enough where they actually have to chew and scrape their teeth off. Head fits the bill perfectly. It's an every couple month thing.

  • @rocketcunt agreed.

  • Brrad, there's plenty :). A pomeranian probably only needs a quarter pound of food a day, maybe less.

  • @Apatheticmuch Actually, far less than that! My one eats 1 3/4 ounces a day and the other eats about 2 1/2 ounces a day!

  • umm there isnt enough meat on that thing for them

  • @brradsullivan There's probably enough, but not if you fed that every day. I supplement with other meats, too.

  • I raw feed...never fed a head...(well besides a fish head)...I must admit this ummm...bothered me ever so slightly, LOL!!!

  • @K9ProSportUSAdotcom I hate fish so I think a fish head would gross me out far more! LOL

  • Do you vaccinate? Bella had one round before we got her, then a rabies shot (required by law here) and nothing else...Have yours had regular shots?

  • @BellasLabPuppies No, once they reached their first adult booster, I only do Rabies after that.

  • there is a reason that dogs should eat cooked food...parasites especialy pork meat....and bones can harm the dog...u can give it bones suplement.

  • You say cooked is best, but look at all the dogs that died from dry dog food in the past couple years! The food loses a lot of nutrients when it is cooked. There are benefits and risks to feeding raw and commercial, but I did my research and in my mind, the benefits outweigh the risks most with raw. Chewing on bones is what keeps the teeth and gums healthy and white and they don't get that from a bone supplement. My dogs have safely eaten raw for almost 10 years now.

  • @ALXD1974 There are more reasons that dogs should NOT eat cooked food. It kills many nutrients and enzymes that are necessary for a balanced diet. Parasites are not an issue in the US, and bacteria is not an issue due to the high content of hydrochloric acid in the dogs digestive juices. Raw bones are safe, cooked bones are dangerous.

  • @ALXD1974 Bone supplements do nothing to clean the teeth and little dogs are notorious for having filthy teeth, which leads to internal and heart problems, something that is common in Poms. I have been feeding raw for about 8 years now and no problems. Not to say that there COULDN'T be problems, but look at all the dogs that died from eating commercial dry food! Nothing is 100% safe. The food loses a lot of nutritional value when cooked so we go raw.

  • @ALXD1974 I don't know where you're getting your meat from! The parasite the is argued for in pork is practically non existent in America, and where it is found is in wild pigs. And I've never seen a raw bone harm a dog unless it swallows it whole, and that's why we choose cuts that are too large so they crunch it up.

  • @ALXD1974 Dogs on kibble get parasites. My dogs are doing far better on raw than they did on processed dog food.

  • @ALXD1974, actually dogs and cats have super short digestive tracts designed to kill high level of bacteria. Besides, the Pottenger's Cat study verified that raw diets are the only way to go years ago! Why not look it up?

  • @ALXD1974 I agree 100% this is disgusting!

  • @KatCountry1033Girl Yup, no doubt about that! But, it keeps their teeth clean which in turn keeps them healthier because they don't have that bacteria going up into their bloodstream from the tartar.

  • @ALXD1974 You shouldn't cook bones!

  • LOL! It's like watching wolves eating on the discovery channel. I have a pomeranian. I might consider raw. I have to get passed the hibbi-jibbies on seeing my dog consume what we as people percieve as dangerous i.e. selminela poisoning.

  • Yes, very tiny, very furry wolves! LOL It does take a little bit to get used to the "gross out" factor of raw, but once you do, it's smooth sailing. Nothing grosses me out anymore!

  • uh what is the dog eating?

  • The dogs are eating a goat head purchased at the local Hispanic grocery store.

  • haha that's awesome, it's the size of the dog. Cute poms.

  • Thanks! They are entertaining for sure!
