@gardenandguns Most plastic water bottles can only withstand a certain pressure, usually 100 to 120 PSI. If you go over that or if the bottle is weakened in any way then it will explode.

how can he pump it till 120 psi with just a basic pump while i can pump my gun to only 30 psi? when i reach that 30 psi the pressure in the gun is big enough that i can sit on the handle of the pump and it will hold my weight. PLS help!

you have to get a pump from an old refrigerator .refrigerator compressor can iesely blow up any plastic bottle. what du u use for chamber? and if you are going to use refrigerator compressur i suggest you that you replace your chamber with an old fire extinguisher canister.

take a big fire ext. drain discharge it, remove the top, clean the powder stuff out, cut the plastic tube, find a fitting that will screw into fire ext. and tube, screw the top back on fire ext. fill with shop air rubber tiped blow gun, screw on barrel, load projectile and shoot. I made one at work and shot a ball bearing through a semi door. The door was scrap. Good ole southern Indiana. Evansville.

Hey be very careful! research first, most plastic bottles fail and explode at 120 PSI, 80 is a threshold for safety using my own idea, i built an air gun it goes up to 250 psi, and has no potentially explosive parts, Pleas be careful, this bottles are not very strong

yeah i made something like that but i made my own quick exhause valve, or its also called a piston valve, it makes a huge difference in speed. and i did the same thing with the arrow and a wad of cloth but i coulkdn't get it to go straight, got any tips?
