You can buy it in April this year, if you have $190 million, and somewhere to keep it - "Items as small as a hairpin and as big as a chunk of the Titanic's hull are among 5,000 artifacts from the world's most famous shipwreck that are to be auctioned in April, close to the 100th anniversary of the disaster." "On April 11, all of the salvaged items are to be sold as one lot in what Guernsey's President Arlan Ettinger describes as the most significant auction ever handled by that house."
I saw "The Big Piece" in a traveling exhibit in the Twin Cities of Minnesapolis & St.Paul in 1999 I was amazed by it plus I saw the other stuff that was brought up from the werck now that I'm older think it's still cool to see the artifacts but at the same time I think they should back were they belong down 2 1/2 miles in the waters of the North Atlantic
@CrimsOnyx23 I did some research. It's at the Luxor in Las Vegas, in the Titanic exhibit. Anyway, the reason why I was asking was because I went to the Luxor with my Honors English 9 class because of the Titanic curriculum, and I touched a big piece of the ship (which I wasn't supposed to touch, shh! Don't tell). I then stumbled across the this video and I was like, "Wait, did I touch that?"
@iBullyMyTeachers Oooh.. they have a piece at the Branson Museum, it might not be that piece, but they do have a chunk of the hull there too, I believe
i have dont have a problem with them taking stuff from the ocean floor.
it's from Titanic itself I have a problem with.
What idiot decided it was ok to take the bell from the crow'd nest, causing it to collapse?
Titanic is the symbol of to those who died and a gravesite. we should be worried about the ship itself.
glad we have some artifacts recovered or we wouldn't have learned about the Titanic and what it was like. in 10 or 20 even 30 years there might be nothing left. due to nature.
someone made a watch out of a peice of irom from the Titanic, now that's disrespectful
-It should be all about the Titanic and how the people died, Not about the artifacts. sure they belong in musems. they have taught us what it was like back then. without them we wouldn't know the feel of what it was like.
on the other hand Titanic herself should no more be disurbed. Let her rust away and let nature take the rest of its course.
@henrydify2 I've seen a scale model that looks like a wrecked portion of one of the funnels, but they never raised a real one because there was nothing left of the funnels to bring up. The funnels were made of very thin metal, so they were completely gone by the time Titanic was discovered.
are they gonna restore this pice

grave robbing is exactly what it is. all those artifacts and pieces are a part of a graveyard that shouldn't be tampered with

@alexkron @nonefour Just saw it on display at the Luxor in Vegas. I think it's going to be there for a few more years. It's pretty impressive...
