  • Hey nice job! I've been looking for some good horse animations or reference photos, because I'm needing to do a lot of animating of a cowboy riding a horse for a personal project. Having trouble finding some good material large enough for me to reference. The Muybridge stuff would be perfect if I could find a good image. This one is great, although I'd remove a few frames to make it more dynamic.

  • Always cool to find great animators here on youtube - it looks good rough version & clean version :) I use Corel RAVE 3.0 for my animations .

  • @BeeAnimations Thanks very much! Forgot to peg the paper when scanning though so it's a bit jittery!

  • are you using a ms paint program or something?

  • Have you drawn on Muybridge's photographs? The moviment is too perfect. Don't you think the rough animation is much better ( artistic) than the "clean" version? Do you think it would be possible to load the scanned draws on Flash?

  • @MaximoBrazil2000 I didn't draw on top of the photographs for this animation, I went through the photographs frame by frame and used them as reference to draw the horse and movement on paper. There is a problem with the "clean" version actually, I scanned it in wrong so it jumps all over the place and it's not consistent! I'll have to address these issues next time! And yes, you can import scanned images into Flash to export or draw on top of. Thanks for your comment! :)

  • Excellent job! Animation is very difficult, and I can't really find anything wrong with it. Good job :3

  • @TheFatalEmbargo Well there is something wrong. The head of the horse gets bigger. He needs to be more careful at those details.

  • Wonderful!

  • @dafedux that was for a trot, not a gallop :-)

  • Wow... That cool! No thats impossible? OMG :O

  • its color in America!

  • i like both the animation and the song!

  • Oh cool! I believe it might be, Edward Muybridge took a fast series of photos of moving subjects to see what they looked like frame by frame. It's great reference and what you said sounds very familiar, so probably, yes! :)

  • ouuuu is looking good!! :D

  • Thanks! :D

  • Awesome Gem! Gallop Spirit, gallop! ;)

  • Ha ha, it's not Spirit lol, but thanks very much! :D

  • Amazing! Well done:)

  • Thanks! I'm gonna properly ink and colour it in Photoshop soon! :)
