I am surprised that scientology hasthat many members, I thought it would be closer to 1/100th the amount compared. In the year 2000 Catholic Parishes in the U.S. alone raised 7.3 billion dollars. In 2008 the vatican had roughly 1.8 billion dollars in assets. The catholic chursh itself is believed to be worth between 43-60 billion dollars... It depends on who's numbers you believe, mystro. The Church of Scientology claims 12 million members, however, gathered statistics put the number somewhere around 40, 000. I don't like to call anyone a liar so I'll just figure that there are 11,860,000 scientologists out there who are too ashamed to check the other (please specify) box when the stats are gathered.

I think that number is likely more accurate in regards to active members of the cult, jung (nice name :)). Many people fill out the beliefs line of stats forms even if they are no longer practicing. We can absolutely say that the numbers are nowhere near the 12 million that CoS claims.

Scientology is basically a front for powerful individuals to slowly take control of the government. Basically, their just like any other corporation except they put up this religious front. I may be a little off, but that should be it in a nutshell. And that is why people are fighting this.

Plus many of the people that speak against them want protection, as some of the things Scientologist's do to people that oppose them is scary. They think 'fair game' attacks are fine, but they're not. If they were to start acting as civilized people, then there would be no need for the cameras.

Suicide "bs" he was killed. Try it yourself, take a 5/8 plastic garden hose (common type is 50' long) stuff that in a 2inch muffler pipe and see for yourself how much co2 comes out the other end.
