@ProGuitarShopDemos thanks for the reply! Seriously, 99% of my YouTube time is spent watching David Gilmour and PGS Andy! My two favorite guitar players! Awesome that your first guitar was built by your father. I'm a fourth generation musician myself and play in a contemporary Christian rock band. During rehearsal breaks we are usually talking about whatever the latest gear demo you did. We're all big fans. Thanks for sharing your amazing talent. BTW my current board set-up is VS Comp 66
@LUVITALL9 made in USA, top quality pickups, build quality, woods used and hardware are all stellar. Much Much better than a fender tele in that pricerange...
This is really nice playing here, Andy. You do a lot with the pure tone of the guitar other reviewers seem to miss. The more I see (and hear) of G&L, the more I like. Keep up the good work!
Andy, how do you learn all these songs in such a short span of time? Do you ever set your guiar down? Just the sure volume of songs you've played demoing for PGS is insane! Will you please give your fans a little message about your guitar story. Your finger picking style is so unique! As you can tell, I'm a huge fan. Quick question, were you born with a guitar in your hand? If so, what kind of guitar was it? Cough..Tele!
@2ndDayRiffs Our first Scoop episode is about my first 'proper' guitar built by my father. I started playing at 12 and never got used to playing with a pick so I ditched it.
@ProGuitarShopDemos don't suppose you'd ever do a video to show us how you play with index and thumb to get that sound - like you're holding a pick. Do you have nails?
really wish he would do these demos using a pick, he obviously is a great finger player but everything sounds different when you use a pick so its hard to get a sense of what it sounds like
@redjess1206 You're not going to get a good sense of what it sounds like regardless. Every player sounds different. I bet if there was only sound, you'd have no idea that he doesn't use a pick anyway.
@RobbyWheelerGuitar I know ever player sounds different but if you're at least playing the guitar with the same thing you are going to get a much closer sound, And If I just heard the sound I might not know that he is playing with his fingers but I would notice that the guitar sounds more low-end heavy when it really is just because he is isn't using a pick.
@redjess1206 You'll do fine. If someone's imagination is really unable to conjure what different playing styles would sound like on a given guitar - they're prob. not ready for a pro rig. Same thing re: complaints on PGS using a Reverend or Hag instead of a Strat or LP with stomp box demos - they won't be able to tell what the pedal "really" sounds like. Really? Then the only answer is to take your rig to the store and plug in b/c no 2 demos will ever sound alike. Too many other variables.
@Babyface6200 youre stupid.. G&L is founded by leo fender. he got tired of shitty corporate stuff.. and sold fender and made a better company g&l.. get your facts straight yea?
@Babyface6200 it would be if it were possible to rip your ownself off.... tele and asat both invented by Clarence leo fender , thats why on every american G&L the serial # starts off with clf
@Babyface6200 LMAO! It's apparent you don't know very much about the Leo Fender legacy. G&L stands for "George and Leo (as in The Leo Fender)"....Fender is where Leo experimented and learned how to build guitars. G&L is where he perfected the art. Amazing axes, you'll never pick up another Fender once you play an American made G&L.
Andy nails another demo! Absolutely fantastic job!
