who says Israel was supposed to withdraw from Gaza by 2005? Israel unilaterally withdrew from Gaza in the hope that that will come the Arab terrorists in Gaza. After Israel uprooted every single home, school, farm, synagogue that was built by Israelis in the last 30 years, the response from the Hamas terrorists was missiles flying to Askelon, Ashdod, Beer Sheva. The Palestinians are in a killing frenzy for the last 100 years and don't want to recognize Israel's right to exist and to compromise.
