It is supperb on the snow (i didn't say mudding!). It tows alot more and its alot better off road. But I'm comparing it against the average car. Because in short, this is an above average car for people who still need a car and some of the capabilities of a truck (some). Yeah, its ugly and power and fuel economy have a long way to go. But in the ride and handling department, it gives up nothing to a sedan. Buy a truck if you need a truck.
I own one, and its by far the best "car" I have ever owned. Its a keeper. Other trucks are by far better looking and can tow and haul much heavier things obviously because of their larger overall size. But they're much heavier and aren't as nimble on the twisties. The ridgeline is the best compromise I have found on a vehicle. It's much larger than the average car without being "truckish". It has a much much larger than averege "trunk", cabin space and crash protection.
this is just my opinion- the tundra is just an overall better truck. Better safety, better options and (in my opinion) IT JUST LOOKS ALOT MORE BADASS. Also it is more user friendly.
@gtaivstudios yeah tundra is actually beter because my friend has one of these trucks and it cant hual a fucking thing its mainly a rich boys truck meant for driving on the street nothing more
Just crashed my 06 Ridgeline into a tree at around 45 mph trying to avoid a matress (yes, in the middle of the road). Both the passenger and I walked out with only airbag burns. The truck is totaled but by far one of the safest vehicle I've owned thus far.
You can't even tell I totaled it looking from the back since everything stayed intact and structurally rigid. Despite the engine being destroyed, remote locking still works and when pressed twice, you will hear a faint honk.
It's a mattress. Have you run over a mattress before? it's not like it signals an apocalyptic end to all that is... You run over it, and it comes out the back. Doesn't matter either way I guess, just somewhat dumbfounded by your logic.
Would you by any chance own a queen size mattress? At 55, your vehicle is not as stable as when you are going 25. A small bump would causes you to loose control. A matress that size would send your flying down the road and possibly into oncoming traffic.
well statistically MOST crashes occur at these speeds. i know that they do a few tests going really fast but its more up to your body holding up to the crash then the car.
fyi, formula 1drivers crash at over 100mph and they survive. true, they have 6 point racing harnesses and HANS devices, but the human body can take quite a pummeling
@MSNIMSM they did it to improve safety, since the bed of a normal truck has the potential to fall off

you have a truck... run over it.

The mattress was at least 8 inches in height; I don't think running over it at 55mph was an option.

Magical mattress that can make a 4500lb truck fly.

Yup. It's the law of physics. Does it not exist?

I seen a truck in my shop that ran over a mattress. It wrapped around the drive shaft and blew the R&P

running over a mattress is like hitting a deer

No people drive that kind of speed anymore. Try crashing it to a 18 wheeler head on
