pokemon really needs to move away from the turn-based games, and develop a 3rd person type game i.e. zoids console game. You could have cooldowns, PP on all attacks, and at the same time you move around your selected pokemon. This was my dream pokemon game but I guess the japs don't believe in the television show. When I played pokemon for the first time I wanted to play because the TV show was exciting. Turn based games are very tedious and repetitive. POKEMON REVOLUTION!

And while when I was younger I really wanted something like this, now I see that was a bad idea. The game works great as it is and is about strategy and team makeup, not direct control.

There are many Street Fighter-esque games online with pokemon (and many with ONLY pokemon) that you could play that would be closer to your wish than regular pokemon.
