I've been reading up on the EU theory lately and I really WANT it to be true, since it is a much more sympathetic view of the world ... according to the BBT, the universe will end up dark, cold and dead. :-(

That said, I'm not sold on either theory, especially the vast majority of scientists still seem to back the BBT, but I'll be eying this with great interest. Hopefully new findings will shed more light on the matter in the coming years.

The EU represents a broad, interdisciplinary, and holistic approach to science. The majority will always follow the status quo, regardless of the evidence. Fear is always a factor.

I am an atheist but I have always thought the refrences to light(NT Gospels)have echoed some deeper scientific reality. Also the verse from Gospel of Thomas 50:3re "motion and rest" to me is a description of the ongoing process of equilibrium in human biochemistry and indeed all atomic structures.

These latest data are veritably of the elephant in the living room type, but how long will it take for this to sink in? Decades? Centuries?

Strongest resistance to these discoveries and the EU theory will be from the climate science area as these facts will overturn all we ever thought we knew about climate - the behaviour of the earth's interface with its environment.
