i have never been in this position but have a lot of friends who have and i feel it should be a womans right to choose. hope that I would never abort a baby but who knows. If there is no way to care for the child, I believe adoption would be best but people are wrong when they say its easy to abort a child, because it isnt. This really is a lovely video. However, at 16 it is very difficult to raise a child and to continue with your life educational wise. I am not for abortion, I am a mom of a 7mth old and im 26, I could not imagine the responsiblilty of doing all that I am now at 16! Yes there will be guilt, but maybe if you had your child at 16 there would be resentment towards him/her. You have two children now, enjoy them and think of the life you provided them with. u wdnt have had them if u had that baby @ 16

My first pregnancy was at 17. Abortion was never an option for me but some of my family members thought it would be best for me. I waited until I turned 18 before I let my parents know of my pregnancy because I didnt want them to force an abortion. I found out later that they couldnt have anyway..but I was protecting my child. That same child is 29 years old this month. She has 2 children of her own.. her first born when she was 15. I stood by her every second of her pregnancy.

I was 15 when I got pregnant, and my mom tried to make me abort, she would come up with ideas so that I can miscarry. I believe in reincarnation. And my mother had two abortions before my brother and I were born. Almost aborting me as well. She had a dream about having a daughter the day before her appointment and it changed her mind. After that she had her tubes tied. She still feels guilty after 25 years since her first abortion. I'm, sorry, but how can you be 'pro life' when you had an abortion? Not every circumstance is the same.. And Woman can choose if they want abortion or not. It's wrong to preech. you know what i just watched your video. im sorry you regret your choice. i know it hurts i went through it i was 16 and a few days before my 17 birthday had an abortion. for extreme medical reasons i chose it. i didnt do it as back up birth control or because i would be alone raising it. i had guilt for awhile but in the end i did the right thing. im pro choice. i wouldnt choose it for myself again unless those medical reasoning but i think all people have the right to choose.

I wanted to say I found this video/your situation at 16 very difficult. It's something that no one and especially a teenager is never prepared to go through. At the same time it seems that you've projected a lot of your guilt over your decision onto the abortion providers and abortion issue. i think im pregnant and i told my boyfriend and hes really supportive but he also feels very strongly that were "not ready" for it and he wants me to get an abortion really badly. and hes guilting me towards it. but i dont know if i can do it. i dont know if i can kill something so helpless. :'(
@1pepsilove You're the mother, the child is in your body, you'll birth and feed it. It's YOUR decision, not his. Don't feel guilty if you don't want to do an abortion and, if you think you're not ready to have a child, give him up to adoption. Sometimes it's the best thing a mother can do for their children. i have never been in this position but have a lot of friends who have and i feel it should be a womans right to choose. hope that I would never abort a baby but who knows. If there is no way to care for the child, I believe adoption would be best but people are wrong when they say its easy to abort a child, because it isnt. This really is a lovely video. However, at 16 it is very difficult to raise a child and to continue with your life educational wise. I am not for abortion, I am a mom of a 7mth old and im 26, I could not imagine the responsiblilty of doing all that I am now at 16! Yes there will be guilt, but maybe if you had your child at 16 there would be resentment towards him/her. My first pregnancy was at 17. Abortion was never an option for me but some of my family members thought it would be best for me. I waited until I turned 18 before I let my parents know of my pregnancy because I didnt want them to force an abortion. I found out later that they couldnt have anyway..but I was protecting my child. That same child is 29 years old this month. She has 2 children of her own.. her first born when she was 15. I stood by her every second of her pregnancy.

I hate when people say, "you had sex, you got pregnant, deal with the consequences" and assuming that abortion is a way to "get rid" of the problem or the "easy way out". I believe abortion is dealing with the consequences and obviously is not an easy way out. It takes alot physically and emotionally. I personally wouldn't choose that as my way of dealing but others may and they shouldn't be judged for it. Just saying.

i think that abortions are wrong... if you dont want a baby dont spread your legs. if you think you are responsible enough to have sex and dont want children there is a such thing as birth control. dont be scared to talk to your parents about it if they get up set they will get over it sooner or later at least your being smart, and ALWAYS use a condom!! its not the babys fault that you weren't using your head!! he had to give up his life for somthing you did!! but i guess thats just my opinion!

I don't think abortion is wrong but I think it is wrong of the healthcare system to make you think late abortions are not unsafe. I'm sorry that you had to go through this. I'm pro-choice, and I believe early terminations are completely acceptable, but at sixteen nobody gives you the rights you deserve to be fully informed. Also, images of full term babies in test tubes is false, most abortions clinics will not accept you after a certain point in your pregnancy.

i wish i would have seen something like this when i became pregnant last january... i wanted to keep my baby, but my boyfriend set up and appointment n told me he wouldnt support us... i knew i couldnt do it on my own, and my family would kick me out....so i did it,... and the guilt i feeel is unbearable...then a few months after i became pregnant again and decided to keep it. I believe in reincarnation. And my mother had two abortions before my brother and I were born. Almost aborting me as well. She had a dream about having a daughter the day before her appointment and it changed her mind. After that she had her tubes tied. She still feels guilty after 25 years since her first abortion. But I tell her that I truly believe those babies were really my brother and me and no matter what, we were meant to be born even if we had to wait.

I got accepted into 5 different colleges and I am currently enrolled at Northwood University in Cedar Hill, TX. My daughter lives back home with my mom in San Antonio, I try to see my daughter when I can. It's hard but I'm pushing myself through it for my daughter....

I'm, sorry, but how can you be 'pro life' when you had an abortion? Not every circumstance is the same.. And Woman can choose if they want abortion or not. It's wrong to preech. And being a teenager is NO excuse.. There is much birth control out there, and if you think you are mature enough to have sex, then you should be using a few birth control methods. Don't get me wrong, I like this video... but I lack empathy for teenage 'mishaps'.

I wish that that never happened to you .. my husband and I have been ttc for the past 6 yrs.. we have had 1 miscarrage but no children,, I wish that everyone who watches this chooses life..It would be a blessing to have children,,but just as much as a blessing to adopt a child.. adoption agenices mae it hard for couples to adopt with thier outragous prices but, still for those who can afford it . it is still a blessing to them...ur video is touching and heartbreaking

you know what i just watched your video. im sorry you regret your choice. i know it hurts i went through it i was 16 and a few days before my 17 birthday had an abortion. for extreme medical reasons i chose it. i didnt do it as back up birth control or because i would be alone raising it. i had guilt for awhile but in the end i did the right thing. im pro choice. i wouldnt choose it for myself again unless those medical reasoning but i think all people have the right to choose.

what a beautiful video. i found out i was pregnant at 19 and set up the appointment to have an abortion as it was what my mother said was best. she told me that at 10 weeks there was nothing there. she was wrong! her reasons for wanting me to have the abortion were selfish. she scared me by saying my boyfriend wouldn't stick around.i couldn't go through with the abortion and now have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and supportive fiance as a result.i'm so happy with my decision to keep my baby

I wanted to say I found this video/your situation at 16 very difficult. It's something that no one and especially a teenager is never prepared to go through. At the same time it seems that you've projected a lot of your guilt over your decision onto the abortion providers and abortion issue. Don't feel guilty if you don't want to do an abortion and, if you think you're not ready to have a child, give him up to adoption. Sometimes it's the best thing a mother can do for their children. im 16 years old and at 14 i got pregnant. abortion for me was never an option b cuz in my mind a baby is a gift not a choice like u said. my plan was to keep the baby. affraid to tell my parents for fear they would make me kill, my plan was to wait til i was showing to tell them. sadly it never got that far. at 2 months pregnant i got hit in the uterus with a bike handle from a kid jumping off a ramp and lost the baby. i had to deal with the loss all alone. it was the hardest thing ive ever done

Awhh.This video touched me alot and even made me cry.The same thing happenned to my auntie,I'm scared.I don't know what to do or say to her she is 37 now.I'm worried about her,she is abusing herself physically.My mum is trying to comfort her and everything but she keeps saying if she didn't kill that child she had at 18 years old then,they wouldn't give up on her.Now she is still trying for a baby but it's gone downhill so far. :'( I don't know what to do.I feel helpless.

I found out in June 2010 that I wasw 8 weeks pregnant and I surely started to have an abortion but I didnt want to because your video inspired me not to have it... thank you... I too had an abortion and I know just how that guilt and regret can eat away at you. I was young and frightened I was on the pill but I did not realise that a course of anti biotics can stop the pill from working that was how I became pregnant. I am pregnant with my second baby but I will never forget the one I aborted and that feeling of guilt will never leave me ever.

I'm buddhist and it's not just the karma of the mother but also that of the baby. Why would anyone want to bring up a child when she herself is still only a child. Yes there is adoption but there are just too little people out there willing to adopt to meet the rising number of teen pregnancies. I do not support abortion but it should be a choice..
