  • What a load of crap. On islamic slavery of captured european christians, read the excellent (and very cheap) White Gold: The Extraordinary Story of Thomas Pellow and North Africa's One Million European Slaves by Giles Milton." It was ghastly, and it was by force that was ended.

  • I still know soo little about Shia but the fact that a lot of videos seem like oppressing Shia makes me more interested to understand them.

However I still find their rituals against the teaching of Islam at least from my understanding, like mut'a, worshipping the Imam even making photo and puppets of them, they hit themselves till blood, etc.

I can only see the negative of Shia for now, but I still want to learn.

  • @lemuriavi Brother it's nice to see that your open-minded god willing. Shia's NEVER EVER worshiped the Imam's they ONLY worshiped god and the shia believe that the Imam's were the Representative of the religion after the death of the holy prophet(pbuh). Mut'a is not even recommended in shiaism in most places it is looked down apon and even banned! Same goes for pictures! Hitting themselves till blood comes out is the same,

  • @lemuriavi It's majority very looked down auipon and many of the people who do this are not not that knowledgeable. It's sad to hear you only hear the bad side of shias which the majority of the shia's don't do and not how peaceful, loving and on the right path our imam's are.

  • I'm a shia and I don't do any of the things you mentioned. It's true the truth has ALWAYS been attacked through countless times as shown in history. Shia's have prove to prove their ideology which cannot be denied but yet their are many ignorant who hate the trut ans would just try to show the negative stuff which is sad because their are sssssssssooooooooooooooo many positives!

  • SubhanAllah, What a beautiful and intellectual lecture, thank you brother Ammar

  • they never did, it continues today

  • You all are a Bunch of Phussyy's.... who I have Dared to come and face me face to face, but you bunch of phussyys have NO Imaan or Guts to come talk to me.

because you all Know you are Kaafirs...

May Allah guide you towards the right path, and get ONE SINGLE Shiyah from you all to come face me and TALK to me...

  • you are a Kaafir...... accept it or not.

  • Islam reformed slacery because western countries forced them too, and it took them 100 years to listen to the west. And lets not forget only a few years ago a fatwa was ordered for a return to slavery.

  • what? west forced what? Where's your source?

  • "The 1926 Slavery Convention, an initiative of the League of Nations, was a turning point in banning global slavery. Article 4 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted in 1948 by the UN General Assembly, explicitly banned slavery"

At this time all Islamic countries were still conducting slavery - most abolishishing it in th 1960's

  • lol, they were forced? Did you just watch this video? First, Islam came to reform slavery, not abolish it. This was due to economic reasons. This reformation started at the time of the Prophet (pbuh), 1400 years ago! Not 1900s. Yes, the abolishment was more recent.

Slavery still exists today but is known as "trafficking", but that has nothing to do with Islam.

  • Forced was a poor choice of words on my behalf. However I made my initial comment because it was apparant this video was innaccurate. In any nation moves to reform anything occur a considerable amont of time before the change occurs, and the notion and terms of slavery did of course change over time, but slavery was not abolished in Islamic countries untill the 1960s, change did happen but considerable pressure/encouragement was made by the rest of the world.

  • rom approximately 650 until around the 1960s the Arab slave trade continued in one form or another. The Moroccan Sultan Moulay Ismail "the Bloodthirsty" (1672-1727) raised a corps of 150,000 black slaves, called his Black Guard, who coerced the country into submission.[34] Historical accounts and references to slave-owning nobility in Arabia, Yemen and elsewhere are frequent into the early 1920s.

  • As recently as the 1950s, the Saudi Arabias slave population was estimated at 450,000 — approximately 20% of the population. It is estimated that as many as 200,000 black Sudanese children and women had been taken into slavery in Sudan during the Second Sudanese Civil War.Slavery in Mauritania was legally abolished by laws passed in 1905, 1961, and 1981. It was finally criminalized in August 2007

  • you may be right. I won't argue with the stats you've posted. I honestly could careless about the affairs of Saudis and other "Muslim" leaders around the world. If they themselves have not made the effort to push slavery out of their system, then they have deviated. Besides, I have way too much to say about Saudi Arabia. They do not represent Islam one bit.

  • @mgk786 Agreed on SA. Islamic countries were stubborn which is why there is a considerable space in between them and the rest stopping slavery. However change sis come from within in the sense that, only when they could justify banning slavery in the Koran could they go along with the rest of the world. (because the koran very explicity says slavery is OK) it just isn't read like that anymore. As a white demon myself I do get a little urked we take the blame for slavery when this as going off!

  • masha Allah well said brother.

  • dfrgrfg

  • we are not here to chose who is the best and the worse but the guy atleast for a specific explained brilliantly....if you want the best you have to make a better then zakir naik...

  • If this is the best SHIAs could produce in response to all their HOO HAA about Dr Zakir Naik. No wonder they're kicked around the world. They don't know anything.

Just follow blindly what's been given to them over the ages, much like idol worshippers.

    Pathetic!

  • We have a Arabic saying, when we want to insult people who are narrow minded. Neech uhmack.

    Means Fuck your mother.

  • I have pursued all your lectures from the begining, All of them have been contained a huge basic of the Islamic information which are quoted from the Quran. your explanation is very clear and it has persuaded all those who have differnt idealogy and ethnicity. I want please of you to make lectures in the Arabic langauge and list them on the same youtube until those people who living in Arabic countries know the imam Ali shia, they are absolutely not educted about that. finally May Alla bless you

  • ddd

  • EXACTY!! Mr Copy-paste, now you're coming closer to true Islam..now that you've copy-pasted, let me help you put 2n2 together with the v lil brain Allah's blessed you (or cursed you) with.

The burden of proof lies on you, as ur ppl been cursing Omar, Osman, Yazid etc for past 1400 yrs, and till this moment, haven't come w/ a single proof of their guilt. And the only one cursing here is you. I pray you come to the right path and renounce the hersey you been blindly following.

  • "Mr Copy-paste"

What else do you want me to do with Quranic quotes, come up with my own? :S

  • @lostprophet786 hahhaha...that was very funny. Btw, a very good answer...

  • What are you arguing about???

  • havent come with a single proof of their guilt? people have provided evidence against them , so you cant just deny that it is all bullshit .

  • @sanjoanne : "A Single proof of their guilt"!!! U mean to say u do not know their guilts?? or u have not studied enough to know their guilt?? it will be a waste of time telling u and proving their guilts to u. U shud find out urself. Its better that way for if we tell u, then it is one sided story. If u find out urself, then it is more reliable. Do urself a favour and go turn some books. Bukhari, Sahih Muslim...so n so on...they r all there... U dont need Shiah's books to proof their guilts.

  • @sanjoanne Shia's don't curse all the main shia scholar's son't cure and all the tue shia's don't, we say may allah lower his mercy on them! A single pr? top jokinnk, why don't you go search for them?

  • Re "When did such a thing happen?"

    1) I find it v interesting you know "nothing" about this (one that that made him known beyond his following of fools in London), while you seem to know of all his movements and speeches.

    2) Look up, that this fool was challenging at the top of his voice, UNTIL Dr Zakir Naik responded by proposing to send his student Re the Yazid controvercy.

    3) As it's been proven time and again, re ppl of your sect,

    YOU'RE ALL FART NO SH*T

    LOL

    later losers

  • "later losers"

Wa Alaykum Salaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa-barakatuh.

  • and peace be on u too loser, but only as long this 'peace' is not at the expense of cursing omar, osman, yazid, etc coz then to me, ur not much diff from an idol worshipping kafir, blindly following ancient tradition.

  • "Surely those who conceal the clear proofs and the guidance that We revealed after We made it clear in the Book for men, these it is whom Allah shall curse, and those who curse shall curse them (too)." [2:159]

"Those who disbelieved from among the children of Israel were cursed by the tongue of Dawood and Isa, son of Marium; this was because they disobeyed and used to exceed the limit..." [5:78]

  • @sanjoanne The true sect is the one that does'nt bad mouth other's instead they would use ther intellect to proved prove and facts if you ant to debate than their's no need for bad mouthing oters but instead providing prove as the one with prove is the truth!

  • OMG!!!! what a brave man!!!. he was hiding surrounding himself with, 100's of 1000's of kiss ass blind followers with no mind of their own. and "challenging" someone half way across the world.

    LOL.

even worse! That's a bigger coward than GWBush! You were better off letting ppl believe it was behind a comp.

  • My bad, he's "brave" but only until he can "challenge" someone in India, while he's hiding behind a comp in London, and only until he's asked to defend himself against, not even Dr Zakir Naik, but his little STUDENT.

    LOL

    true "Shia", true coward!

  • "while he's hiding behind a comp in London"

The lecture was actually given publicly twice, once in a Center in London and then again in Sydney. The audio from that lecture was taken and then put online.

"only until he's asked to defend himself against, not even Dr Zakir Naik, but his little STUDENT."

When did such a thing happen?

  • lostprophet786, you're truly lost. This fool's obviously reached purberty, unless his beard is fake. By puberty i mean maturity. Stop crying and grow up.

  • Thank you for the advice, I will take it into consideration.

  • All I did was quote Quranic verses against the point you raise. No need to throw a tantrum.

  • Isn't this the same fool who attacked Dr Zakir Naik, hiding behind a computer. Then was too timid to even accept the challenge from Dr Zakir Naik's student.

    LOL

I did not know, in some sects, even puberty wasn't a prerequesite to being a "scholar".

  • "hiding behind a computer"

I take it you don't live in London?

"Then was too timid to even accept the challenge from Dr Zakir Naik's student."

"And the servants of (Allah) Most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in humility, and when the ignorant address them, they say, 'Peace!'" [25:63]

"I did not know, in some sects, even puberty wasn't a prerequesite to being a "scholar"."

"...and We gave him (Yahya) Wisdom even as a youth" [19:12]

  • "But she (Mary) pointed to the babe (Jesus). They said: 'How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?'" [19:29]

"We relate to thee their story in truth: they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We advanced them in guidance..." [18:13]

It is clear to see for anyone who has read the Quran that Allah puts no age boundary to knowledge, rather Allah looks at the fertility of the heart...

  • Islamic countries like Saudi Arabia should be forced to pay half their oil wealth for their barbaric and savage crimes during the trans sahara and east African slavery. Many people who call themselves muslims lie and deny these horrendous facts. The decendents of the 140 million plus African victims should recieve this compensation.

  • subhanallah u call ur self a lost prophet??May Allah help you

I don't know what this guy is talkin about but i know That Islam does not allow slavery because Allah(S.W.T.) only allows you to be a be slave to him. U can read and say all that fancy stuff all u want but that is the truth.

  • Why can't people who have wronged, and continue to wrong Black people ever just say "Sorry", and then mend their ways from there? Fuck Islam for many, many ,many reasons, and they include the 80million or so Black True Africans that died in the 1300 years of (the main) islamic slavery. Fuck islam, indeed.

  • Why you treat me as muslim. Is it because of my name?

Next time, sir, do not label people by their name.

Back to the subject od slavery: Islam did not ban slavery, but for Islam to legislate 15 centuries ago that the son of a slave is free, was a very revolutionalry concept.

You are calling Mohammad a bad name and you made that part of your screen name. why?

  • the British were the biggest purveyors of salvery under the direct supervision of the Qween.

  • Your screen name tells me that you are abouut insulting a certain religion.

Compared to other religions of the same period, Islam fares.

Religion however should never interfere in politics, neither should politics.

Stop this nonsense about the British. Drug dealing salvery, genocide(Native Americans..to name but one) and the rest of vices were sponsered or condoned by the Queen. such stuff really contributed to the wealth of the Brits.Remember the Opium war?

  • If you do not believe me, just check what the Brits did to Basra and the genocide against the Sunnis in Basra under the supervision of the Brits, if not at their hand directly. My friend you watch a lot of movies. If the Brits really did block the salve traffic finally after 300 years of unimpeded traffic, it must have been that there was no more money to make out of it.

Look at what the Christians did to the Native Americans. What a shame.

  • islam came about 1200 years b4 1830 when arabia was the power of the world

  • Neither Islam, Christianity, nor Judaism banned slavery.

There are two stupid point of view on this forum: One, Islam is bad because it did not ban slavery; Two, Islam did ban slavery.

  • Islam did NOT ban slavery, it REFORMED slavery.

  • I know that. what I was saying is that those who try to say otherwise are apologists.

  • > Being a slave of the Family of the Prophet was not

    > opression, but was freedom.

    LOL!!!

I think the topic of quranic slavery is most fascinating - it is hilarious to hear muslims explain away the parts of the quran that allow slavery.

  • Mashallah, a good speech

  • There was no Leila in Karbala as Ayatollah says in the truth about Hosseins Revolt:

"Another example of tahrif in the accounts of 'Ashura' is the famous story of Layla, the mother of Hadrat 'Ali' Akbar, a story that is not supported even by a single work of history. Of course, Ali' Akbar had a mother whose name was Layla, but not a single historical work has stated that Layla was present at Karbala'....

  • I Have read that book by Ayatollah Motahheri, may Allah bless his soul. It is very interesting.

Whether or not I agree with everything Motahheri states I am not sure, I need to research this issue further and hear opinions of other prominent Maraja.

    Thank you for dropping by.

  • If you could find out why Leila wasnt present in Karbala i would highly appreciate it

  • Ayatollah Motahheri (ra) gave four sermons called 'Ashura - Misrepresentations and Distortions', these Sermons have been translated into english and compiled into a book.

This book can be read at:

    al-islam. org/al-tawhid/ashura/

You may find what you are looking for if you go through the sermons of Motahheri thoroughly.

  • great arguement brother but PLEASE answer me in short without going around, Allah mentioend thies events in quraan about the inspiration he sent to musa mother and luqman and jesus apostels so as muslims we bilieve in it without discutions,Great just point for us,

  • if you commit a sin, you'd free a slave, if you want to pay Zakat (Islamic taxes) you'd free a salves; If a master have a child from his slave, he must free her and the child is like one of his own. Bait Al Mal ( equivalent of the finance ministry) would give money to free slaves,,etc,,,,meaning it was going to be abolish gradually. Also, Islam forbids alcohol and that came also gradually.

  • there's absolutely no justification for slavery religous or otherwise, slaves were treated well so as to prevent them from escaping, grieving, falling sick & dying which could b very costly for d master, not out of love & compassion, if that was d case then y enslave him in d 1st place? dont't try 2 dress it up now d damage has been done! condemn it, it's wrong!

  • THe WEstern countries r practicing a new kind of slavery and human labor. 3rd world countries continue to fallow to captialism millions starve in africa all cuz the USA dollar is so powerful. Capitalism and globalization is being used to enslave the world.

  • slavery is slavery & it's detrimental 2 d enslaved, whether mohammed's slave or not d captives would have prefered 2 b in his own land with his own people speaking his own language. if b4 purchase d captives were given a choice 2 go home 2 family or go with master history would be different, instead they were taken by force.

  • The audacity of those who have NEVER been enslaved to speak about the glory of slavery never ceases to amaze me, whether those glorifying slavery preach Christianity, Hinduism or Islam.

"Reforming" slavery still equals SLAVERY. It's pretty sad that you tried to justify slavery instead of rebutting it. Shame on you.

  • Slavery could not have been abolished 1400 years ago, as Slavery was the economy, and doing so would have had disastrous effects.

Had you listened to the lecture, you would have found being a Slave in the House of the Family of Mohammed was a great privaledge, not opression.

  • You seem to be missing the BIGGER picture. Slavery was the backbone of US economy but was eventually abolished because PEOPLE realized it was bad. The only message that I got from your speaker is that Slavery was better with Islam, especially if you were Mohammed's slave. He sends no MORAL message that men/women should NEVER be enslaved. Get it..

  • But Islam did reform and eventually get rid of slavery didn't it. Stop picking and choosing what you want to gain from the video. Like he said they couldn't get rid of the slave economy so they had to take gradual steps to reform slavery and in the end they got rid of it.

  • Stop adding lip to the video. The gentleman in the video never said what you said, which is why I stated that he sends no MORAL message. Who is really picking and choosing...YOU.

  • So you really think you are free in your society/democracy? Oh no, if you wanna use the word slavery in that term as you do now, you are a slave of the law in your country. If you don't pay tax you will be punished. We are all slaves, but some slaves dont have rights, others do. Most of them who have rights are protected by a law, and Islam has a law that protect the slaves, like a democracy has.

Islam is a true gift to humanity.

  • That goes to nzingamina.

  • There is a DIFFERENCE between following the law of your society and being a SLAVE. As a citizen you have no choice to pay taxes but at least you get paid for your wages. As a slave you don't even get wages. Islam is a gift if you are the slave master and not the slave.

  • nzingamina said 'You seem to be missing the BIGGER picture. Slavery was the backbone of US economy but was eventually abolished because PEOPLE realized it was bad." Are you kidding me? Slavery was abolished in US because the North needed labor to work in the factories and they needed those slaves from the South. Everything happens (in human history) based on supply and demand.

  • Actually that is true in part...but ending slavery would of never been a consideration had there been no abolitionist movement that recognized that enslaving another human being is bad.

Islam is like 200 years behind that concept and honestly...it is scary when someone thinks that it is good to be a slave to another man...whether prophet or elitist.

  • wat ever you are let you come across the fact that slavery is with man kind in one or other way..so u cannot say that US ppl realized that slavery is bad the quit it ...how can you say that there are thousands slaves still in america even in the worser condition ever marked in history..

  • Oh please...SLAVERY IS BAD because we are ALL created EQUAL.

Do you think that all MEN are created equal?

  • shi3i thal

  • May Allah bless the soul of Sayed Ammar

  • why does the video keep stopping?? salam

  • thanks very much.. i love his speeches!:)

  • very informative

  • very nice speech

  • This is my favorite teaching by Sayed Ammar Nakshawani he is truely brilliant and an inspiration to myself and many other muslims.

  • Asalaam Alaykum, masha'Allah that was awesome.
