Ignore to "well my car does this..."...my f'in IRL car has an AMG engine and can run over whatever electric or nitro car claims to be the best if they think this isn't cool. Nice post. @RyIzzle my Stampede has stock nose only thing im running is 3s 5400 and not stock gearing cant remember what gearing and i did lower the suspension a bit but i only put different springs in it and moved the shocks down some and just a stock body whats left of it

i mean absolutely no offense to anyone, but that was NOT 97mph. 60 maybe 65mph at the most. dont get me wrong that was pretty damn fast. i have a rustler vxl and it takes alot more distance than that to stop from around 50mph. some nice speed runs anyway.

Can't believe all the haters in here. While I can't confirm this video, I do know that near 100mph is definitely possibly with a modified brushless rustler powered by nothing but a motor and some lipos.

Thats 40 - 50mph. What's happened is your speed gun has taken a false reading from the top of the spinning wheels and read 95mph. Happens often at out speed event.

Whatever you say, I know for a fact that its not that fast. At the UK speed event I was at someone got 100mph with an Associated B4, it is way faster than this so called 97mph Rustler.

There's very little doubt the Rustler went as fast as it did, but it's definitely not all motor. There is compressed gas use for this car to go that fast, which is almost obvious with the trail of gasl eft behind. I'd like to see this Rustler hit those speeds all motor.

Thats much faster than 40 - 50 mph. my rustler goes 65mph and thats faster yet. It belivable to be at the 97 mph mark just takes time and patience. im working on a bandit to do triple digits. sitting at 89 mph so far. if you think thats only 40 -50 mph think again jackass

What makes a proper record keeping speed run video?

1. you must show what battery is being used.

2. you must show whats under the body so the viewer can see what engine / electronics are being used.

3. the speed gun should always be in the frame from 0 mph to max speed.

4.all of the above has to be taken in one shot with no video editing whats so ever.

These are not my personal rules but they are generail rules used on most online rc communitys when it comes to speed records on video.

i strapped a co2 canister to my rustler and took out the motor to free up the drive train

when i punctured it the car didn't even move so i doubt it would make much difference
