MY GOD! MY GOD! THIS SONG BRING BACK SWEET MEMORIES...I MISS MY TEACHER ROY HUNDLEY... I KNOW HE MAD IT OVER!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS PUTTING THIS ON YOUTUE.. I'M GONNA PUT ON MY ROBE AND TELL A STORY HOW I MADE IT OVER...YES LORD!!!
This song brings me to my knees and to tears! It is a beautiful song and makes you think of how great Heaven is going to be as soon as we get home!!!!!!
This guy sung this song at y best friends grandmothers funeral, They put a crown (tiarra) on her...saddest part of the service. But god is now with her and she is safe
I heard this song at my pastor's anniversary musical and i had not heard it in years ...and it took me RIGHT ON IN! They dont make songs like this anymore when just the words and harmony made you remember why we're on this battlefield for HIM
Beautifully done! This reminds me of the early days of Heavenly Host M. B. C. in N. O., La. Our good friend Veronica loved that song and now she is with the Lord. The Bible says the dead in Christ shall rise first, then those who are still alive shall be caught up with them to meet Him in the air. Looking forward to it. Dr. L. C. Brown, Sr. (TheGenesis316 on You Tube).
& this is what i strive 4! 2 be presented with a crown from GOD HIMSELF-a crown that says to me, "WELL DONE, THY GOOD & FAITHFUL SERVANT!" PRAZE JESUS!
@LOVE3L4DY This is the Original version.... Thomas Whitfield wrote this and his choir recorded this. This is the version that everybody tried to duplicate but could not... THOMAS is the MISTRO!
this song was sang at my grandma's funeral and i listen to it everyday b/c the meaning in the song is so true. RIP Sarah L. Coleman I know that you are soaring with the angels and praising God

i used to love to hear the adult choir sing this song...it really gives peace of mind to let us know that when we are done toiling on Earth, there is a MUCH better place waiting....
I lost my choir director (Cedric Wells) , he worked with many choirs in the Chicago and Aurora area. He had us sing this song when he did not feel good. God called him home on a misty Monday morning and I miss him sooooo much. He could SANG, NOW HE IS WITH GOD AND HAS NO MORE PAIN. R.I.P. CEDRIC MY FRIEND
@GoldenLarkVoice I HEAR HIM NOW - THANK YOU - KEEP ME AND MY CHOIR IN PRAYERS. HE IS IN THE HEAVENLY CHOIR NOW I LOVE AND MISS YOU CEDRIC. I WILL PRAY FOR YOU TOO.
@ILOVEMUSIC2MSV I here for you saint. Listen to the words...I'm gonna put on my robe...tell the story..how I made it over! SOOON as I get HOME!...It means that Minister Cedric is telling his story to the saint of how he made it into eternity..he now knows what the bigger picture (God's Plan was for his life)was. If Cedric endured hardship, was misunderstood, talked about, laughed at or struggling during his walk in the faith..he now knows why..Praise HIM!!!
This type of music reminds us of our mission. This is very encouraging to those of us who labor for the sake of CHRIST. When my journey is over, I will wear a crown. I shall see HIS face when my life is over. Soon as I get home. I am encouraged to run on!
Thanks God for YouTube and the ability to have church at my desk at work when things seem like they are just going down the tube.. a song like this.. makes it alright.. Thank God for making it over!!

how you're gonna wear a crown when your flesh has rotted away..i guess the crown is gonna be on your bare skull.

@dopemcee WHY DID YOU SAY THAT LISTEN TO THE WORDS ITS A SPIRITUAL CROWN NOT FLESH CROWN COME ON NOW GET OUT OF YOUR FLESH
Angela7967 1 year ago
@dopemcee The crown in this song is figurative for the reward of eternal life in JESUS CHRIST [2 TIMOTHY 4:8]!
Peace and love...
