I can't believe Shawn Michaels agreed to lose against someone like Goldberg? Shawn Michaels was the first man to ever win the elimination chamber match. Goldberg defeated the Rock. That's okay, there was a feud between them, but there was no feud between HBK and goldberg . Goldberg feuded mainly with Triple H. I wouldn't have been shocked if Shawn got defeated by Jericho or Triple H. Shawn only did this to put him over the top. Anyways Shawn has had the greatest career :)

Goldberg is like dynamite. He has a really exciting moveset full of high-impact "slobberknocker" style moves. He's one of my all time favourite wrestlers alongside Brock Lesnar for similar reasons. Such a shame their Wrestlemania 20 match was so disappointing. Could've seen a classic! Oh well.

Ok if you look closely when goldberg is handcuffed HHH has his hand on the end of the sludge hammer so his hand hits goldbergs head first and does not harm him, and after that when HHH punches him..look closely you'll see him miss both times.....what bad acting lol

I like HHH's attire in this match. It's probably the only time he wore it. But seriously what was WWE thinking booking HHH to win this match? His only offense in the actual match was using the sledgehammer. Goldberg should have been booked to squash him.
The Goldberg-HHH fued didn't have enough heat yet. It barely started about a few weeks before this EC match. I guess WWE didn't feel like ending what was already a lengthy HHH reign, which was needed during this time as the WHC was in its infancy.
Besides a screwjob ending like this would have put more heat on HHH and setting up a 1 on 1 match later would, in theory, have generated more interest to finally see Goldberg beat HHH senseless and taking the title off him.

Ok if you look closely when goldberg is handcuffed HHH has his hand on the end of the sludge hammer so his hand hits goldbergs head first and does not harm him, and after that when HHH punches him..look closely you'll see him miss both times.....what bad acting lol

Wrestling was always like that. Expecting an actual real time blow, especially with a sledgehammer (which IS real, btw), is retarded.

i was still young when this happened, and i defintly thought it was real, to make it worse goldberg was my favourite wrestle, since he was in wcw so i had a bitch fit when he got annihilated and started throwing shit around the room.

I tell u no lie..Goldberg got his shine on!!! I was so mad at the writing during his reign...I believe if the WWE had it together Goldberg would still be involved. For example the match at Wrestlemania between Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar..shouldve been a bloodbath!! Those two titans shouldve ripped eachother apart!! Especially adding Stone Cold in the mix. But it was horrible and now look at the WWE ..its so boring! C'mon Vince where's the "Attitude"

I like HHH's attire in this match. It's probably the only time he wore it. But seriously what was WWE thinking booking HHH to win this match? His only offense in the actual match was using the sledgehammer. Goldberg should have been booked to squash him.

The Goldberg-HHH fued didn't have enough heat yet. It barely started about a few weeks before this EC match. I guess WWE didn't feel like ending what was already a lengthy HHH reign, which was needed during this time as the WHC was in its infancy.
Besides a screwjob ending like this would have put more heat on HHH and setting up a 1 on 1 match later would, in theory, have generated more interest to finally see Goldberg beat HHH senseless and taking the title off him.

@ggim125 See now that you put it that way it makes more sense. The title had no prestige yet. We needed someone of HHH's caliber to give the belt that prestige. So now I agree with their decision of doing it that way. Thanks for the moment of clarity.
