Did you see the size of the butt on that moderator? He looks like a cow. Did you hear him moo? Sennaattorr McMooooooo! He's so liberal it just oozes, and could use more makeup.
The Fair Tax was the best idea on that stage. Now I think you should cut the size of government by at least 50%. This would make it so we could get the Fair Tax at 18% to replace everything. This would make it so the rich can create jobs, because it doesn't attack productivity like the current system does. And it gives the poor and middle class a chance to become rich, because a middle class person could live on only the basics so they wont pay taxes and could us that money to start a business.
The entire tax code is a fraud for most people. Very few of current payers are actually taxable within the current code. The tax funds collected from average citizens currently goes to pay interest on the national debt. The banksters at the FED reserve, will never allow the current fraud to be exposed and hence will not change the code. Eliminate the FED. Funding our defense is NOT the issue. Ron Paul 2008!
Hey Fair tax fairies - I will wash your ass and drink the water, if the Fair tax could be 23%. It would be a nightmare even at 23%, but it will have to the 50%. YOu really think cancer patients will pay 30K tax on their surgery and chemo? Health care will get exemptions. You think the Navy wont have to pay 1 billion dollar sales tax on a submarine? Military will get exemptions. So will a lot of others. The rate will be over 50%. Be careful what you wish for.

the guy before guliani is soooo right....thats why im getting into the tax prep business...it wont be easy but i know i can make at least an extra 60 to $80k a year in this business.
Idiots! You all want to stay in Iraq and continue the war(except RP) and you are talking about tax cuts? The people of this country are not stupid(most).RON PAUL08
MY..MY ...MY How things have changed. The neo-cons are now talking like the doc. They are trying to save their asses,do not be fooled. They know the jig is up and are saying anything to get you to believe in them.
It never ceases to amaze me how all the candidates, except one, have altered their stance on taxes to a modified version of Ron Paul's stance. What amazes me more is how easily the lemmings of this country beleive that their candidate of choice was the originator!
-Two percent of U.S. wealth holders own 54 percent of all net financial assets; more than half of families had no financial assets, or owe more than they own.
-Ten percent of American households own 72 percent of the total wealth.
Oh Fred was just having a little fun at Romney's expense. At least Fred is one of the few candidates who could stand on their conservative record alone.
I agree with you on that... Romney does not look very conservative next to Fred Thompson and it is very entertaining to have Mr Thompson's wit even if it is arrogant... I would like to see Mr. Thompson have some table manners if he is going try to appeal as a southern gentleman and a future President.
But why not replace it with a more simple consumption tax that doesn't tax necessities such as food, heath care, ect.
The fair tax would create to many lazy people depending on government checks, while the bureaucrats will fight over who will raise the people's allowance. Which mean higher and higher taxes.
I am all for these tax ideas... My only problem with them is how are they really going to implement them? I am extremely concerned and skeptical of being left with all the current taxes that we have plus the federal sales tax or the consumption tax. In other words it things will not change but only get worse and the people will fall for it thinking they will be getting lower taxes in the future and it is only temporary!

Fairtax is farce. Sorry - -that's what it is
No one will vote for the world's highest sale tax on your RENT. Yes, Fairtax is on rent. It's on medical cost, food, car insurance.

We should end the income tax.
