  • Classic! I've watched twice

  • Awesome, hope you don't mind if i borrow this to make a Survivor video describing the Cult of Coach!

  • Is it wrong that I got a boner from this?

  • Wow! Just PERFECT. It is as though God guided you to create this video to describe and define in detail the exact nature of my personal encounter with Him. Thank You. I hope you never know just how much like God this is. Job very well done! P.S. I want one of those shirts.

  • OMG I've found some of these techniques in almost any kind of situation and not just churches; training courses, workplaces, environment groups, alternative therapists (though Big Pharma is one huge cult with Government access and acceptance) and even the atheist movement. Be watchful. Cultic ways are everywhere. Even if the beliefs are sound if the techniques aren't run because there is a gateway to some wierd ideas and behaviours. If there is an 'us and them' attitude warn the others.

  • Sounds EXACTLY like the Church I used to go to. I went to a United Pentecostal Church. Does anyone know if the UPC is a cult???

  • @David8024667 Most likely even if not officially. Go to the Relgious Tolerance and Rick Ross websites for more informaton.

  • sounds like your average religion to me...

  • A religion is nothing more than a cult that is ancient. All so called "religions" started out as cults (although i doubt they were called that 1500 - 2000+ years ago) and as time progresses they end up being regarded as a religion.

If we (as a human race) survive another 1000 years or so and say few dozen people started the ‘Jedi Temple’ and it lasted 1000 years, it would be regarded as a religion.

Personally i think we will be lucky to survive 500 years ket alone 1000, as a race of course.

  • Roman Catholics!!!?

  • @pandirasbox REPUBLICANS?

  • sounds like my ex-gf

  • network marketing?

  • Would if the cult leader is Jesus Christ? and the leaders of the group serve and give as much to Jesus just as much as the followers?

  • @lomelidude4

then i guess christianity is a cult.

  • @mollymagdalen It IS man made.

  • just sad that this really happens but if your strong minded no one can touch you

  • sounds like Marriage to me.........lol

  • The ICOC

  • fuckin go to AA. man i was writing about some of these ideas. man its some fucked shit. AA then they wanna imprint the bible. its fucked

  • see, this is really stupid. this is just about everything in the world. religions governments politics food clothing everything.

  • OMG funny but sadddd...all you need is two hours sleep:/ People are dying of starvation:\ Your ego, your ego is the source of all your problems:| Before I came to "xyz" I was a bad person; I was greedy, misguided, self-centered, and lost...my life is wonderful now, I hate my OLD life:\ Do you want to move fwd toward freedom and enlightenment, or do you want to fall back into your old DIRTY ways? Our leader is flawless, the doctorine is flawless--there must be somethg wrong with me:/

  • OH THE GOD DAMN MUSIC !!!!! its driving me nuts. hate this..

  • @morthsvk the music is part of the brain washing. ha ha ha Have you heard the message ?

Give me everything you own and i will free you ha ha ha

  • Media and social systems, keep people in cages.. if you dont work for long enough society (council/govment) will pressurise you into a mental breakdown...

  • 90 meeetings in 90 days.

  • I think this is about Jehovah's Nitwitnesses!

  • @Chrisrshepherd Asshole.

  • @DanielDFizzle Hey Buttercup. What about my asshole?

  • Facebook is beginning to fit these elements...

  • To induce more lulz just tell them the truth about everything on your deathbed.

  • This Is easy to do.

  • Explains a lot lmao!!!

    Fuck the youtube cult.

  • I admit it, I spent the first half of the video listening to the voices and music, looking at the fonts and colors and trying to figure out if it was really from when I was a kid or an amazing fake...

  • And will kill for yo- don't you want to become a cult leader?

  • baptist churches, schools, organized religion, society. we're all a cult.. by force. we have no choice:(((..... cry....

  • I do!!! I do want to become a cult leader!!!!

  • Not all cults are like this, there are over 300 known suicidal cults worldwide but there are far more cults than that.

  • Yea, now I have what I need to take over the wirld

  • You are excellent example for this vid.

You offer no comments of common sense, historical records or educated opinions. You recite mechanical, unoriginal religious text written by men who had an agenda to gain power, property and financially by plagiarizing an existing book and altering it to define and justify their personal prejudices and greed.

  • Jehovah is God's name. Check dictionaries, encyclopedias, bibles (at Exodus 6:3, Isaiah 42:8, and Isaiah 54:5). Jehovah's Witnesses serve Christ Jesus our Lord. Matthew 4:17 Jesus started preaching. He taught his disciples to preach in Matthew 10. Matthew 10:14 tells them to go house to house. Matthew 24:14 says this good news of the kingdomwill be preached... before the end comes.

Jesus taught his disciples to make more disciples at Matthew 28:19,20,"Go therefore and make disciples..."

  • i dont want to be in an atheist cult ever . . .

  • The part about convincing people their past was horrible reminds me of Attachment therapy. Nothing else, though.

What real life examples does the part about inducing mental breakdown disguised as spiritual awakening refer to?

I've also not heard of separating recruits from each other or love bombings followed by granting/with holding love to shape behavior

  • I know some people who were part of something that this video describes accurately in many ways. Called the Fellowship of Friends, and it still exists today with the same leader.

  • Nice I will have my cult up and running in no time ... of course we will be so much different from all those other freak shows out there ... it's time for change 1 world 1 love midgety for dictator .... I mean .. .um m .. woops

  • That music track is maddening!

  • Yes, I wanna be a clult leader! lol

  • Hey... it's Christianity!

  • "I've been involved in a number of cults, both as a leader and a follower. You have more fun as a follower, but you make more money as a leader." -- Creed Bratton

  • Wow... this whole video is a replica of all the catholic church retreats I've been on. Speakers who rejected their past lives? Check. Confession? Check. Childish games to promote oneness? Check. It's all so scary, thankfully I'm an atheist now.

  • reminds me of church, and I expect anyone who has left a church will agree.

  • I recognise some of the elements of this video being used by the Pentecostal Church I was a member of years ago. Fortunately I left. I was told bad things would happen to me if I left but the opposite was true. It is now great to be free from religion & faith. I highly recommend it!

  • Christianity might not be a cult, but MANY churches that aren't considered cults are.

  • this leader guy sounds pretty awesome

  • 7 people are part of a cult and are having trouble admitting it.

  • @TheJademaidgade That's just them transforming, they are flushing out the bad stuff.

  • Wow, this seems just like ORU.

  • @derekgbalderson lol u must be in soc pysch.

  • I am a student at a private Christian College. Anyone who has any background in Theologically centered academia can keenly identify cults and refute basic ideologies very quickly. Therefore, either A.) Christianity is either the most badass cult, or B.) it's not a cult at all. Since the actual, written doctrines of Christianity (contained in the Bible's New Testament) are in total contrast to the methods described in this video, not A. Therefore B.

  • @vansfordave Well said, like a truly indoctrinated member. Able to recognize and shoot holes in cults of differing opinions, Without seeing the problems of your own. Therefore not A. or B, but C. Just another cult.

  • @vansfordave The New Testament cannot be read independantly from the Old Testament. And the basic premise, that we are all born into sin, and must repent, be saved etc, is exactly what this vid is about. Christianity is a collection of cults; not one "badass cult".

  • @vansfordave At least christianity contains these common factors with the video: a leader that claims to know more, divine authority, songs and dance, despise for non believers (yes, they are condemned to hell), confessions.

  • LOL RELIGION AND THE MILITARY.

  • To those watching this genuinely keep an open mind... Yes it is confusing, just keep an open mind

  • amightywind.. I think their false prophet must have watched this video.. creepy

  • @TheKathleenBean I absolutely agree with you on that one! If anyone wants to investigate an cult online for your veiwing purposes & knowledge of a current cult online please look at the amightywind / cult. Every video praises the prophet elijah lady and the ministry. Notice the devil in the details.

  • cristianity

  • scientology

  • @jasongrim Christianity, Islam, etc. - all religions.

  • @Samuraionthewall ignorant, intollerate idiot

  • @Samuraionthewall except islam does'nt have cults! XD

  • @Samuraionthewall-Religion "the way of Cain" was designed by satan and humans to make one agnostic towards God and obscures the plan of God. The common factor that all religions teach is you can get to heaven on your own merit-except Biblical Christianity. Biblical Christianity proclaims God's way of salvation for the human race through Jesus and asserts that only work through Jesus provides the salvation and eternal relationship with God. Jesus shines light on Gods plan.

  • @djjenjoy- You are in a cult.

  • @honeyblossom17 ... sure. Your mind is a slave to the world. Well see who gets the last laugh. Good day.

  • @Samuraionthewall Are you saying "Christianity, Islam, etc" are all religions and scientology is a cult? Or are you saying "Christianity, Islam, etc. - all religions" are all cults?

I really hope it's the former because Christianity, Islam, etc. are cults, it's just that they have been around long enough that they are considered religions. IF(hope not but IF) scientology is around long enough and the number of "followers" grows, eventually it will be regarded as a religion.

  • @Sozlled I meant to say, i really hope it's the latter, not the former, my mistake as pointed by Samuraionthewall.

    Regards

  • @Samuraionthewall This video meant to be a pointer on Christianity, but TRUE Christianity is nothing like this. Cult is Jehova's Witnesses, but they are not christians. Nor are the catholics, or mormons, or unitarians etc. Only the evangleistic churches are true christians, but sadly even among them there are false-teachers.

  • @jasongrim I'm too scared to thumbs up that comment.

  • @raleighman3000 LMAO

  • The problem with bogus "cults" and bogus "gurus" has been around ever-since the beginning of mans quest to know the answer to these three questions: "Who am I? Who is God? and, What is my relationship with God?" If you are sincerely interested in knowing the answer to these questions, consider, approaching "a bonafide spiritual master, inquire submissively and render service." This is the Vedic recommendation. Please chant - the Hare Krishna maha-mantra - and be happy.

  • This is stupid as they have simply targeted any method used as a toll for changing as a cult method. trouble is that just because this group is promoting these valid methods as Cult ,does not make them the authority either. Too many people trying to be the all knowing ones and look what we have decided is bad for you . This film maker is using the same methods as the ones they are making fun off . It always works like that if you look carefully They are using NLP methods to try influence u .

  • this can help people who are members of dangerous cults but HELLO?????i can identify the SAME techniques used by most MAJOR religions(yes including catholics and muslims!!!)

so basically all religions are "cults" as u call it?

THIINK ABT IT!!!EVEN ATHEISTS USE SOME OF THOSE TECHNIQUES.

  • No offense please, my messages purpose is simply to express Bible's View on matters, not to judge others or other groups or to fuel vile debate.

Would it not be a mistake to reject even the Truth because falsehood is highly circulating around? As counterfeit money, false religion has no real value, but this isn't the case for the ‘True One’. To properly meet our 'spiritual need' (Matthew5:3), we must heed the Bile counsel in Ephesians5:10 "Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord."

  • SHAME!

  • 2 years ago i would have thought this was a joke. IT IS NOT. there REALLY ARE cults out there people!!! its the scariest thing i have ever encountered. long story short there is a confirmed cult in wickenburg AZ called "gatehouse academy" that disguises itself as a "drug rehab center." it is a year long. people are subjected to horrible acts of emotional and physical and psychological trauma. I am a survivor of that cult. this shit needs to be put to an end. i had no idea until i was trapped.

  • Dear Viewers

Sad to see Millions being mislead. Flee false religion! It’s soon to be destroyed 2Thessalonians1:6-9; Revelation12:9; 18:4

Identify the True Religion. Like JESUS True Worshipers:

Use God’s Word, the BIBLE, & reject false doctrines 2Timothy3:16; Isaiah29:13

    Practice LOVE, & shun wars, violence, &politics John13:35 1John4:20

Hold high MORAL standard, & rebuke immorality Ephesians5:10,28,33; 6:1 1Corinthians6:9,10

Go to "Watchtower org" click 'Index' or 'Contact Us' or 'Search'

  • Christianity, the oldest cult of all :)

  • @zootrunner Find True Christianity. Study the Bible, flee falsehood & invite sincere ones too. Many have waivered from 'True Christianity' & Religions in Christendom as well. They failed to provide the right spiritual food & r teaching lies. They didn't follow Christ life & his disciples. Like pagan Religions, Christendom openly or indirectly participates in wars, politics & condone immorality. Worst, they refuse to correct their ways & mistakes. Flee them, don't reject True Christianity as well

  • I can't think of any wars conducted by Pagans. Can think of a whole lot conducted by Christians....

  • @plptous Ha! find me one and i will let you know...

  • @zootrunner Heed the Bile counsel expressed in Ephesians 5:10 'Keep on making sure of what is acceptable to the Lord..." and you will find them (not just one).

  • @plptous Your lord is a fool who will lose the war at the end of days. I will ride one the back of the beast who is our daemon and consume the souls of your Children...

No i'm only joking! its all bullshit mythology. Please stop quoting lines at me from a book that was made up by crazy people 200 year ago you dumb ass American idiot.

  • @plptous Lame. The "no true scotsman" fallacy allows you to define what a christian is and ignore the fact that most christians do not live that way. Aside from being intellectually dishonest it is chock full of moral cowardice in the refusal to accept the negative sides to your faith. The urge to define oneself as a true christian/muslim/pagan and others as not true christians/etc is the root of all schisms, inquisitions and religious war. In definition you create the "other".

  • @zootrunner Every war conducted by humans until christianity came aroung was conducted by pagans. Even the jews were polytheists until around the war of 578bce.

  • @zootrunner What about Hinduism and Judaism? :)

  • Their not Pagans.

  • @zootrunner I never said they're pagans. You said "Christianity, the oldest cult of all :)". What about Hinduism and Judaism? They are older than Christianity.

  • @CambridgeHeights Ah yes, but you see, their not a bunch of bigoted little dicks who i would see crucified Roman style if given the chance...

  • @zootrunner With that one statement you just revealed yourself to be evil, bigoted, and ignorant. I hope for your sake that you are just trollin.

  • @plptous I agree--flee false religion! Including yours...

  • Excellent video :)

  • THANK YOU ALL!

  • @kingdiamondhead i know but i didn't know how quite to add it so i just put "including aetheism" as like a sorta add-on that stands out as its not mentioned with the rest. Most people know it's not a religion :p. It's not the sort of thing you'd find in a "weird and wonderful facts" book :P

  • i bet the leader of North Korea wrote this book....

its scary that this will help u manage a cult

  • @atheistsupremacist Your comment sounds "pretty much like large sections" of a cult! All the religions are cults! including aetheism! Just listen to yourself as you comment! Bias, think you're right and closed-minded - just like the other 7999999999 people who inhabit this earth! It's human nature to be brainwashed by a cult or start a cult. In truth you are all wrong! It is unlikely anyone knows anything! But it disheartens me the most when i see an aetheist who thinks he's thinking critical!

  • @YZB25 "including aetheism"

    Atheism isn't a religion.

  • @marmaladeINFP well people don't die for arseholes like bin laden and george bush for no reason!

  • 7 people are in a cult

  • Wish I saw this a long time ago. I'm trapped in Guyana painting easter eggs now.

  • With the exception of the breathing, this sounds pretty much like large segments of the Catholic Church to me. Particularly conservatives within it.

But then you could probably point to parallels between cults and any religion, or at least factions within many religions.

  • @SSgtParmer

WTF! True Christianity is nothing like this. 0_0

  • Is one of the cult leaders Jim Carrey?

  • sounds like scientology

  • I want to be a cult leader. But I'm not really sure how to start.

How do you get your first recruits?

  • @crutmauler There lies the need for another video , explaining the methods to gain your first followers yourself , rather than later on down the track when you have people doing that for you . One method to gain a following is to join an already existing group with full intent of becoming a cult leadrer and simply do what it takes to work your way to the top inner group or just be clever enough in your personal presentation that pll become atracted to you . You need to have personal charisma

  • There are lots of people out looking for a cult. I know people whose thoughts run along these lines. They're looking for someone to attach themselves to.

  • reminds me of aa,,shit

  • Fabulous video. But just remember it is not necessary to use all of these tactics in order to be an overly mind- controlling cult. Using just a few of these tactics can qualify you to be involved in a genuine mind-controlling cult which is definitely a waste of potential, a waste of a good mind, a waste of life!

  • The mooooooonnnniiiiiessssssss!

  • @ coldyboldy This video is great.. do you have a better video quality of this video, or do you know where to download it?

  • This is exactly what Nithyananda a.k.a. Rajasekharan from Bidadi is doing.

  • These people are like the borg, but are less advanced and illogical. Lol

  • you're right i dont need to back up my statements because they ARE facts,i dont expect you to agree either which you won't because you seem to be diametrically opposed to anything i type anyway.go watch monty pythons "argument clinic" think about our exchange, and have yourself a chuckle.

  • you ARE a fucking strawman , religious idiot.

  • Just like the Mormons. I can see all the similarites now that I escaped them and Utah! Yep, when I tried to leave them the 1st time they "love bombed" me and made me feel guilty. I had to "slip away/escape" in the middle of the night to get totally away from them. Now that I look back, it all looks like the Mormons and smells like the Mormons, so it must be the Mormons.

  • me having a "reasonable and respectful" exchange with somebody who believes superstitious nonsense would be like a reproductive biologist having a debate with an advocate of the stork bringing babies theory, this exchange is over BTW.

  • @nothingtoyouatall See, my assumption was right. You're a bigot. Later.

  • @MonaghanMan3000 yeah already admitted my bigotry against superstitious nonsense, which is right where it belongs ,scrutinized, laughed at ,and treated as it should be with mistrust......because it earned it with outlandish claims that cant be supported by logical deduction.i'm also bigoted against child molesters, murders, rapists, imperialist countries that cant leave other countries alone, racists, animal abusers, theocracies, political lies, indoctrination, government cover-ups. : ) .......Later

  • @nothingtoyouatall Yeah being against molestation, rape, murder, conspiracy and racism is the same as being too cowardly to back up your own statements. Yeah, you're right; that's the same thing.

Just make bigoted strawman arguments at people you're suspicious of. You don't need to back your statements up with facts. Just vaguely allude to them: "you people believe", "everyone knows", "you're stupid"... yeah that's just as good. You've failed to death. One more troll skull for the collection.

  • nevermind , its plastered all over your channel, catholic huh. eating the body and drinking the blood of the "lord" ,no that doesn't sound creepy and culty ,not at all.i think chances are you watched this video and there are bits and pieces that are easily applied to your own religion, this gave you a cognitive dissonance you didn't know what to do with ,saw my comment and its had you all inflamed ever since

  • What I think happened is you like to act like an enlightened atheist, but here a theists is boxing your ears with logic. He called you what you are, ignorant, and instead of listening in high context, you listened in low context and let the semantic noise get the best of you. And now your pride has you acting the child.

  • @nothingtoyouatall On your profile back ground it says that if you could reason with religious people there would be no religion. But history proves you wrong with men like Socrates, Plato, Thomas Aquinas and Aristotle. And here I am, a theist, trying to reason with you... and you're getting the worst of it.

Why are you so afraid to have reasonable and respectful exchange? Do you think your views are so fragile that you might break them if you reason about them?

  • at no point did i ever DENY that there are different types of cults,i left a single comment "all religions are cults" which is true ..............whats your point , i know your argument ,but whats your point? what do YOU believe by the way? you seem to name other versions of christianity with some disdain, while ,i assume excluding your own(version of christianity) explain?

  • @nothingtoyouatall American Protestantism in general fits the billet here. As does the Jehovah's Witness Cult and the Mormons, and the Seventh Day Adventists. All of which are on the cult list in countries like France and other European nations.

And you and I both know you are being disingenuous acting like you were acknowledging various species of cult, when it is obvious that you were intending to employ it as an instigating remark and cutting insult. That's rather pathetic. At least stand up.

  • yeah i am bigoted against cults ,i don't think they're good for this society or any for that matter ,it doesnt stop people from being sucked into them regardless. also why was it that you were patrolling a "how cults work" video, come across my comment ,and immediately jumped to calling me ignorant, you know nothing of me ,my education, what iv'e read, what i know , you know one thing about me ,i don't trust people with imaginary friends ,they're unstable that is one assertion you can make about me

  • @nothingtoyouatall You made an ignorant comment. So, I said," You seem to be ignorant of religion in general. :)" Ignorance is nothing to be ashamed of. Ignorance is simply the state of not knowing. Stupidity is something to be ashamed of, which of course is willful ignorance.

You then began name calling and denying sets of facts. It was at that point that I deduced you are stupid and bigoted. Whereas before I was simply of the impression that you were ignorantly painting all theists...

  • @nothingtoyouatall ... with the same brush, because you ran into an rabid Christian fundamentalist moron. So, I've tried several times now to steer the conversation toward a reasonable exchange concerning cults, but here you are still devoted to ad hominem attacks, assumptions, and other various forms of logical fallacy.

I've no intention of telling you what to believe or how to feel, but if you are going to tell me what to believe and pontificate, at the very least make rational arguments.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • so monaghanman takes offence to his religion being called what it is .......a cult ,all religions are cults ,they all had cult status when they began, and the only reason they are so successful today is because of their practices of indoctrination and preying on the weak minded to keep its cancerous machinations working at all times ,and with every ad-hominem attack ,false dichotomy ,and baited threats(pascals wager) you reveal a new level of incompetence that you refer to as "faith"

  • @nothingtoyouatall I thought you don't get tangled up with trolls? So, either I'm not a troll or you aren't a man of your word. Further, you are rather imbecilic aren't you? I'm the one who pointed out that Christianity IS a cult.

It is you who are trying to pretend the two species of cult are synonymous when they patently are not. Do you know how to construct an argument that isn't a logical fallacy? Do you know how to make an argument that isn't a bifurcated strawman?

  • @MonaghanMan3000 yeah i knew it was a mistake to even begin any kind of dialog being the ignorant bigot i am ,its a miracle i can type at all seeing as my tiny brain cant feasibly ever hope to shine bright enough to get the attention of you up in your great ivory tower of knowledge and wisdom,it must get very boring looking DOWN on everyone from your stately perch, but wait i do have your attention lowly little me has YOUR attention ,how could this be ?

  • @MonaghanMan3000 my first comment left on this video was "all religions are cults"your response to that was "your obviously ignorant of religion" and then go on to call me imbecilic and claim you"pointed out that christianity IS a cult..............yeah,that was my point all religions are cults.

  • @nothingtoyouatall Oh, and also, once again, there are several species of cult. You are trying to shoehorn all of them into the "crazy ass cult" species like you see in the video. That it's intellectually dishonest, it's erroneous. This has been my point the whole time. You are attempting to deny what is fiduciary, namely, that there are several species of cult.
